It's not easy to be pro-Australia at the moment
Hannah Thomas: NSW admits to police ‘battery and false imprisonment’ of pro-Palestine protester http://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/jun/10/hannah-thomas-pro-palestine-protester-assaulted-by-police-officers-falsely-imprisoned-ntwnfb >>The state of New South Wales has admitted that a police officer punched Hannah Thomas in the eye while holding a torch at a pro-Palestine protest – and it has offered to pay her medical costs.<< How generous of them. >>The now 36-year-old was taken to hospital after she was punched and underwent three rounds of surgery on her right eye. The statement of claim reveals she weighed 45kg and was 156cm tall at the time of the battery.<< She was a giant of a woman. >>"Thomas’s lawyers from O’Brien Criminal and Civil Solicitors wrote that it ruptured her eyeball and fractured her eye socket."<< >>Thomas’s lawyers claimed she was also entitled to aggravated and exemplary damages, alleging Davis’s conduct was “manifestly excessive” and constituted a “grave departure” from police powers. However, the state denied those claims.<< >>The defence notes that the protest outside SEC Plating was planned by the group Weapons Out the West and was “apparently concerned with manufacturing companies, such as SEC Plating, providing components for weapons thought to be used by Israel in the conflict taking place in Gaza”. SEC Plating has previously denied this.<< >>The state admitted to another battery after Thomas claimed Sen Const Pir Ali Noohpoto grabbed her before the punch which led her to shout in pain. The state admitted that Noohpoto “took hold of the plaintiff’s upper body”. NSW admitted that use of force “constituted a battery”, in its statement of defence. The state admitted the same officer took hold of Thomas’s arms in an effort to remove her from a group of other protesters, who the state has claimed were pulling her back into their fold.<< Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 11 June 2026 6:56:13 PM

Google? 'what's the difference between battery and grievous bodily harm' AI Overview The primary difference between battery and grievous bodily harm (GBH) is the severity of the injury and the intent behind the action. Battery is any unlawful, non-consensual force (even minor contact), while GBH refers to incredibly serious, often life-altering, or permanent harm. GBH is considered a much more severe form of assault, potentially leading to life imprisonment. "Hannah Thomas continues to suffer serious and ongoing health issues after being punched by a NSW police officer in June 2025." In America this would be a 50 million dollar lawsuit. The thread has wandered away from the real problem of
the nature of the migrant intake. There is nothing to debate actually; Just look at Europe including the UK and Nth Ireland as the latest news spot. In Britain the Sharia courts push at their limits. A suggestion of study for you all; The Moslem Brotherhood based in Egypt. You might then realise you are just scrambling around with the minor bits. Posted by Bezza, Friday, 12 June 2026 2:04:45 PM

Buzz,
You're dead-right ! Whilst the rest of the West is being shafted big time, many Australians are still with their head in the sand hoping for a pleasant surprise ! Posted by Indyvidual, Sunday, 14 June 2026 8:09:26 AM

As I have asked YOU previously why did you dodge army service during the Vietnam War? Read this:
"All Australian residents aged between 18 and 60 who have lived in the country for more than six months are legally liable to serve in the Militia Forces in times of war." THAT'S YOU!
