Learning about the change of European & American societies it begs the question if Australia should hold a referendum before the next federal Election to once & for all stipulate what kind of Nation Australia is desired to be & take steps now to achieve this !
There are a couple of serious contenders at play now to gradually end its course from a Christianity-based so-so Democracy-based society to a literal Dictatorship-Autocracy ! One group is openly flaunting their obvious support for this whilst the other is quietly & rather effectively working behind the scene by subtle (rumoured foreign State sponsored) infiltration of Public service & business & IT. Either way, neither group will yield to the other when the numbers are large enough & due to the blasé mentality of many, Australians will find themselves being the meat in the sandwich.
Sticking the head in the sand & expecting pleasant surprises has never provided positive outcomes !

There should have been a referendum years ago. Had we as voters reminded the political class that they are supposed to be serving us, not us serving them, Australia would not be the elected dictatorship it is today. You don't get or retain democracy just by voting for the same sorts of people every three years. You have to keep at them all the time. It beggars belief that the ALP aka the Australian Liars Party is still in power. Well, OK, it's amazing that the voters gave them the power again after the slow but sure decline in their first term.

But, indyvidual, which party you think could be a contender for government is the Christian based one. The only Christian-based party I know of is Family First, and they got less than 2% of the vote in the last election.

The only party that claims to be interested in the demographic, with already almost one third of it born overseas, and mass immigration still climbing despite the lying, is non-religious One Nation.

While the polls have One Nation ahead of the rest, there's still 2 years of Socialist horror to get through. And, the ON member for Farrer has gone off the tracks with his two-flags-in-my-office nonsense; he has been connected to other parties, and reportedly attempted to get Labor pre-selection in the past. Dear old Barnaby came up with the idea of whipping non-citizens houses from them, then said it was not going to happen, and there is a history of people getting into upper house seats, state and federal, on the ON ticket then deciding to go independent.

I don't think there is much hope for this benighted country. It's shot to s..t.
