The Liberal Party should have had an immigration policy very soon after Labor was re-elected. Dutton, who turned from tough immigration minister to a real milquetoast offered a very small decrease that would not have earned a single vote from conservatives or anyone else seriously concerned by mass immigration.
Don't forget that Howard was a Big Australia man. He certainly decided that there would be no illegal immigrants, but he sure made up for it by bringing them in legally.
Nobody seems very excited about Angus Taylor. He was there all the time the Liberals were in opposition, bleating about 'holding the Albanese government to account' when the should have been smashing the Albanese government. That's the problem with the uniparty: there's very little difference between being in government and being in opposition. The Liberals have done buggerall opposing - even got together with Labor on crushing freedom of speech. And nothing Mr. Taylor has done since he entered politics indicates that the Liberal Party will be of much use to us.
The only party with a clear immigration policy is One Nation.
