This is a topic that warrants debate as to the the traditional "owners' vs longest established frequenting of this continent. How does this compare with perpetual claims of equality when literally all Aborigines or those who now claim Aboriginality on this continent, call discrimination when the products, commodities & literally all benefits from the colonisers aren't immediately provided ?
How do the Aborigines feel about the new wave of colonisers who make it quite clear that they demand conformity to their customs or else ! I have yet to hear one offering or improving the benefits provide by the first colonisers.

Yes, there are all sorts of different occupation claims, from all sorts of different people seeming to be in a competition to see who can come up with the biggest number.

No matter how long aboriginals have been in the land, they have absolutely nothing to show for it. There was no point to their existence.

Armchair critic,
??
Did it say that ? Which section ? I can't recall seeing it. Anyhow, the video I'm looking at has to do with the claims of the ever increasing number of thousands of years the Aborigines have been in Australia formerly referred to as Sahul.
There are now claims that Aborigines have ventured as far as past the continental shelf over the past several tens of thousands of years. Granted, the sea level could have been low enough during the last Ice Age some ten thousand years ago to walk out there but going out there in bark canoes seems less legit unless of course humans had a more advanced technology during ice ages than afterwards. During the low sea levels Sahul was not the isolated continent it was before & became again after that epoch. So, during the ice ages there would have been several distinctly different groups & it'd be interesting how one group survived whilst the others disappeared. Could the Aborigines have been colonisers also ? All very, very interesting indeed !

It'll also be interesting how long it'll be before claims are made of highly developed Aboriginal settlements on the continental shelf inundated when the ice melted due to man made climate change & the inhabitants were forced to retreat to higher ground now referred to as Australia.
Future claims will only be restricted by the limits of imagination of those benefitting from ever evolving imaginable possibilities.

Indy,

Another exercise in Abo bashing, no mention this time of those "Concrete Jungle Bunnies", a term you use to denigrate Aboriginal people living in cities. How about posting your own history, you're to ashamed to even admit where you came from. Proud Aussie here, the same can't be said for YOU!
