Good one Indy, another red necked racists, Rabid Babet who like you is also a blow in from elsewhere. Like his political master Fat Clive Babet has a shocking record of attendance in parliament.

Senator Babet was censured for "his inflammatory use of hate speech, designed to drive division for his own political benefit".

We are a diverse blend of values, traditions, and customs
that are influenced by a variety of cultures. We should
recognize our history. Both the good bits and the
difficult ones. This process is called truth telling.
It's a way of understanding our history and who we are
today

Today we're driven by politicians, and commentators, and
perhaps we're also influenced by the times we live in.
Difficult times.

It's a world of winners and losers. Our politicians should
"make a difference - not a career".

We live in a world where all virtue is supposed to lie on
only one-side of a question, issue, or problem. Reasonable
people try to see the bigger picture. But in order for them
to do that they have to look, then they have to learn. Then
they have to try to see what might otherwise be obscured by old
habits such as prejudice passion, anger - whatever their
original position might have been.

Not an easy task for anyone.

Foxy,

We have had Muslims living in this country since the very beginning. They were never divisive and were accepted well. I have lived in a Muslim country and never encountered the likes of those of the Lakemba mosque.

Not only have the imams there referred to Australian women as "cats meat" when defending their own against rape, they have endorsed both jihad and Hamas and vilified Jews in the most appalling ways.

Not only imams, but a Muslim teacher.

The result has been horrendous attacks on Jews, and synagogues. Jews who have always been loyal to Australia, quietly contributing to the wider society. True citizens of this country.

I believe the imams and the teacher should have been charged for incitement, forced to make a public apology ... indeed dealt with the full weight of the law. Indeed if immigrants, been deported.

They have no place in this society.

Albo gave lip service to this horror, ever mindful of his constituency.

Every antisemite I have encountered has been dysfunctional in some way, also low in intelligence. After all, they believe the antisemitic slurs ... positively medieval.

Foxy,

You seem to have a polyanna parocial view of Australian society.

Only by confronting our society's problems head on, and changing them, can our society's problems be addressed.

As I recall, your reaction to the horrors unleashed on Australian Jews was quite muted.

paul1405,
I actually wouldn't expect anything containing even a smidgeon of integrity in anything you contribute but to refer to truth as hate speech & hate speech as truth could only come from you & your ilk !
What this Babet bloke stated can't be disputed ! You are part of the problem, you are the toxic one ! The sooner you come to realise that the better for all !
