There are currently several Imams in Australia preaching jihad against Australian citizens. Why are the police so weak that no action is taken until someone actually takes a knife to an innocent citizen?

What do you expect from a Pro-Israel news source?
What do you expect when we have freedom of religion?
What do you expect when Israel is killing thousands of Muslim women and kids?
What do you think they are going to talk about?
- The price of fuel and groceries?

I didn't see any evidence that it was directed at Australian citizens.

You support freedom of religion as you are religious?
If you want your religion, then the drawback is they get to have theirs.
Christians have historically done lots of horrible things too.

I don't like Islams foothold in Australia either, and I don't like the 'martyrdom rhetoric', but I didn't let them in or promote all this equality, diversity and inclusion agenda that is dividing us, nor did I support the high immigration numbers or multiculturalism.

The segment spoke about 'martyrs', I didn't even hear anything about jihad, and nothing about Australians.
Feel free to enlighten me.

FYI, 'martyr' may not necessarily mean 'person wearing a suicide vest'
- Take this article for example:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13068517/body-missing-palestinian-girl-IDF-tank-gaza.html

>>The aid agency and the health ministry have blamed Israeli forces - with Hamas urging human rights groups and the international community to condemn what it labelled a 'horrific crime'.
'Hind and everyone else in the car is martyred,' the girl's grandfather, Baha Hamada, told the AFP news agency on Saturday.<<

Here, why don't you look at the face of the 5yo kid you support Israel murdering and hear her distraught mothers crying and the sense of hopelessness.
http://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2024/02/11/hind-palestinian-family-trapped-in-car-gaza-israel-bashir-vpx.cnn

I take it you go to the 'Church of Genocide'.
I think maybe you forgot the 'Thou shalt not kill' thing...
Funny how everything Jesus taught goes out the window for "Christians" when the topic is Israeli defense.

Violent reactions and arrests are not going to help, as they would only create more martyrs.

Armchair Critic adequately commented that "Christians have historically done lots of horrible things too." - have they been understanding any of the true teachings of Jesus Christ?

The answer is in education, about what Islam really is and what it is not.

Start here: http://www.ahmadiyya-islam.org/questions/what-is-islam/
And here: http://www.alislam.org/faq/jihad-terrorism/

"Islam reinforces the concept of humanity and respect for individual liberty. It also reminds man of his fundamental human right of being free to choose his own religion. It is clearly stated in The Quran that there is no compulsion in religion (Holy Qur’an Ch.2 V.257)."

The best person to ask "Why is there no action on hate preachers?" is your federal MP. There is no point in asking us; we don't make the rules. All you need to do is send a simple email to whoever is supposed to be representing you in Parliament. Use just the eight words of your topic. If you don't get a reply, resend the email. A second receipt of the same email gets attention. Don't allow them - or more likely their staff - to ignore you. You will get some sort of answer, unlike here, where you will get just an opinion - almost certainly an uniformed one.

I have a friend in Victoria who was charged for teaching the facts of the Koran and because two Islamist women took him to Court, it cost him $500,000 in Court fees to defend himself. He made no threat of a Christian jihad against Muslims, just taught the Koran and because he had been formerly a Muslim trained in a Muslim school in Pakistan, they did it out of spite because he had converted. He had to place apologies in papers and internet because these Muslim converted Australian women were offended. If you are Christian the Courts savaged you, if you are a Muslim Jihadist as shown by these preachers you roam free to influence the young. This is totally against civil society to promote martyrdom as being a hero. As we have had examples already on our streets.

Is there a difference between the preaching of a radical Islamic cleric than that of radical Christians, martyrdom has been venerated by Christian fundamentalist since the day Jesus died on the cross.

You don't seem to want an answer, Josephus. You have gone off your own topic: Why is there no action on hate preachers?, to someone who had to apologise because they had upset a Muslim. It looks as though your question is not so much why mad Mullahs get away with terror-talk, but just another bitch against Muslims.

Josephus,

We need to be a society where we are united in countering
any defamation along either racial or religious lines.

It's essential that hate, fear, and suspicion, which
causes divisions does not prevail. There needs to be calm
and responsibility.

Unfortunately, as a result of the Middle-East conflict we've
got both Jewish leaders in a new legal push saying they
can no longer rely on legal authorities to prosecute
anti-Semitism and Islamic extremists reacting to their
people's plight in Gaza.

We certainly don't need that sort of behaviour. We need
responsible leadership. Leadership that won't make
political mileage out of ethnic, racial and religious
divisions.

Every person in our society should be able to enjoy their
freedom and not be demeaned in any way. Victoria has The
Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001 (RRTA) which
protects Victorians from hate speech and conduct because of
race or religion. It is time that other states have
a debate on the subject.

We need to be a society where words like "towel-head," "gook,"
"coon, "yid," and other defamatory words are not acceptable.
Where we are united in countering defamations along
racial, or religious lines.

"Why are the police so weak that no action is taken until someone actually takes a knife to an innocent citizen?"

- I agree with Josephus' concerns, but what alternative is there?
Lock people up / persecute them prior to them actually doing anything wrong?
That would just give them more reason to act out.

"I have a friend in Victoria who was charged for teaching the facts of the Koran and because two Islamist women took him to Court, it cost him $500,000 in Court fees to defend himself."
- He should've just made a youtube video like everyone else does.
500k is a huge price to pay, maybe he should've stayed a Muslim?

It's about the votes of Muslims that our rotten politicians are after.

There are barely 100,000 Jews in Australia. There are over 800,000 Muslims.

Reading an article by David Flint this morning, I was reminded of this fact. Flint writes that a fundamental badge of a “free society” is that the law must be applied “without discrimination”. That's no longer the case in Australia. Governments have “condoned or even directed” favouritism and advantages to certain electorates.

They have done this in cahoots with Australian voters, whose recent behaviour - or silence in many cases - shows that they prefer Islam to Christianity and Judaism, either because they are warped, or they are frightened of violent Islamism.

The most egregious example of Labor’s attitude to, and fear of, Islam, goes back the Gillard government, that changed the long standing vote in the UN vote on Palestinian recognition because the pathetic minister at the time said that he could not defend the long standing vote “on the steps of the Lakemba mosque”.

This gutlessness has continued during the most horrific anti-Semitic demonstrations ever in what used to be a safe place for Jews, but no longer is.

While the mob yelled out “gas the Jews” (now denied by a lying senior policeman quoting an UNIDENTIFIED ‘expert’) while the NSW politicised police stood by, or arrested a Jew or two, and warned Jews in general not to leave their homes.

What next? Covid-like house arrest for Jews for their ‘safety”?

Flint also asks why Section 93Z of the Crimes Act hasn't been enforced, and taken to court where, if guilt was found, the result could be up to three years jail and/or a fine of up to $11,000. With bipartisan support, this Act was designed to make prosecution more likely to be successful than any other. There is NO EXCUSE

How many keyboard warriors ever direct their concerns or ask hard questions directly to their local MP, Senators or to Ministers, as I suggested Josephus do?

Few to zero is my guess. Australians - despite ANZAC Ned Kelly and the larrikin/disdainful of authority myth - tend to go to water if they have to reveal their real identity, even to their servants, politicians. And, that's why politicians are getting away with what they shouldn't be getting away with.

"What next? Covid-like house arrest for Jews for their 'safety'?"
- All citizens have a right to feel safe, notwithstanding foolish choices;
That being if you want to walk around the worst part of town at 2am on a Saturday morning, and something bad happens well, you probably shouldn't have been out on the streets at 2am in the worst part of town, regardless of whether that 'bad thing' is directly your fault.

You could make the argument 'Is it Jews fault they are Jewish'?
You could also make the argument 'Is it the Australian peoples taxes well spent on Jews private security' when their former homeland is murdering tens of thousands of innocent people?

The government should stand against Israels actions and breaches of human rights, if they don't it's them that put Australian Jews at risk themselves, (The government has no control over that which individual Pro-Palestinian Australians and Australian Muslims do, as we all have freewill) and if individual Jews don't stand against breaches of human rights themselves, then why should this country care about their 'human rights'?

There's a line - civilised societies don't support atrocities.

Simply put, oppose the wrongdoings or you have little recourse to complain if wrongdoing is done to you.
You want to get out on the streets waving an Israeli flag around like you support genocidal acts...
- Well, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

No-one can protect another person from their own acts of stupidity.

Dear Critic,

Australian Jews have no control over the Israeli government (well even Israelis don't).
Their vast majority cannot even vote there, nor has Israel ever been their former homeland.

«You could make the argument 'Is it Jews fault they are Jewish'?»

Yes, that is a very interesting question and I will be very interested to learn of your personal answer to it.

«That being if you want to walk around the worst part of town at 2am on a Saturday morning»

Observant Jews cannot travel by car/train on Saturdays, hence they need to walk. Suppose they spent a long evening with their relatives having a nice Sabbath meal after Friday-night's synagogue service and then their straight way home happens to pass through the worst part of town: are they at fault?

«if individual Jews don't stand against breaches of human rights themselves, then why should this country care about their 'human rights'?»

Are you implying that ordinary people should not expect to be safe in Australia unless they are politically knowledgeable and active? Or does this requirement apply to Jews only?

«You want to get out on the streets waving an Israeli flag around like you support genocidal acts»

I would never be waving any flag, as they all are just idiotic sheets of cloth¹.

But being foolish is not a crime.

I also support Israel (within its pre-1967 borders), while not supporting any genocidal acts.

For a long time I have been thinking that designating Israel as a Jewish state was a mistake, which unnecessarily harms both Israel and worldwide Jews.

For the good of both, had it been up to me, what I would like to see, is for Israel to be converted from a Jewish state into a Jewish-friendly state.

¹ There was this professor who invented a machine to lower I.Q., so one genius once approached him and asked to be treated because his superb intellect prevented him from mixing socially. The professor agreed, placed his head in the machine and went to have some coffee, but as he was drinking his coffee he got caught up in some interesting program on the radio and lost track of time. When realising that the guy's head was left in the machine for too long, he ran and pulled out the plug, then asked the guy: "Are you OK, sir?", to which the guy replied: "Flag, Flag, give me an Australian flag".

"I will be very interested to learn of your personal answer to it."
- It's not a Jews fault for being (born) Jewish, any more than it's Chinese persons fault for being born Chinese.
- None of us choose the terms of our being born.

"Suppose they spent a long evening with their relatives having a nice Sabbath meal after Friday-night's synagogue service and then their straight way home happens to pass through the worst part of town: are they at fault?"
- If something happens to them, no it's not their fault, that would be the fault of the person who commits the wrongdoing whatever that may be, but it doesn't change the fact that it's ill-advised thing to do.
- Swim with the sharks, and you might be bitten.

«if individual Jews don't stand against breaches of human rights themselves, then why should this country care about their 'human rights'?»
"Are you implying that ordinary people should not expect to be safe in Australia unless they are politically knowledgeable and active? Or does this requirement apply to Jews only?"

No I'm saying if you go out and protest waving an Israeli flag around knowing full well that Muslims and Palestinians are on edge...
And if you start antagonising them saying "You're all animals that deserve to be exterminated and Jews are glad you're being killed in Gaza"
- Then don't be entirely surprised if a Palestinian who feels just as strongly about his cause as you - stabs you.

"But being foolish is not a crime."
- No it's not, but doing foolish things can sometimes have bad outcomes, that's my point.

Don't expect equal opportunity laws or facts to protect you if you aren't in a group discriminated in favour of. Of course the government has long been pushing an immigration that the community doesn't support despite claims that Australia follows the principle of government of the people. The trick is to have a dictatorship but make people think that they have control. People need to ask themselves what they want and stick to it- and don't give up till they get what they want.

I see the SPLC (nothing to do with poverty- in my view basically a legal hit squad) and the ADL (some see as an Hebrew Israeli front group) as extremist organisations. Prior head of the SPLC- Morris Dee's is seemingly a pretender Pharisee of reprobate zealots and tregetours.
