Is there a difference between the preaching of a radical Islamic cleric than that of radical Christians, martyrdom has been venerated by Christian fundamentalist since the day Jesus died on the cross.

You don't seem to want an answer, Josephus. You have gone off your own topic: Why is there no action on hate preachers?, to someone who had to apologise because they had upset a Muslim. It looks as though your question is not so much why mad Mullahs get away with terror-talk, but just another bitch against Muslims.

Josephus,

We need to be a society where we are united in countering
any defamation along either racial or religious lines.

It's essential that hate, fear, and suspicion, which
causes divisions does not prevail. There needs to be calm
and responsibility.

Unfortunately, as a result of the Middle-East conflict we've
got both Jewish leaders in a new legal push saying they
can no longer rely on legal authorities to prosecute
anti-Semitism and Islamic extremists reacting to their
people's plight in Gaza.

We certainly don't need that sort of behaviour. We need
responsible leadership. Leadership that won't make
political mileage out of ethnic, racial and religious
divisions.

Every person in our society should be able to enjoy their
freedom and not be demeaned in any way. Victoria has The
Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001 (RRTA) which
protects Victorians from hate speech and conduct because of
race or religion. It is time that other states have
a debate on the subject.

We need to be a society where words like "towel-head," "gook,"
"coon, "yid," and other defamatory words are not acceptable.
Where we are united in countering defamations along
racial, or religious lines.

"Why are the police so weak that no action is taken until someone actually takes a knife to an innocent citizen?"

- I agree with Josephus' concerns, but what alternative is there?
Lock people up / persecute them prior to them actually doing anything wrong?
That would just give them more reason to act out.

"I have a friend in Victoria who was charged for teaching the facts of the Koran and because two Islamist women took him to Court, it cost him $500,000 in Court fees to defend himself."
- He should've just made a youtube video like everyone else does.
500k is a huge price to pay, maybe he should've stayed a Muslim?

It's about the votes of Muslims that our rotten politicians are after.

There are barely 100,000 Jews in Australia. There are over 800,000 Muslims.

Reading an article by David Flint this morning, I was reminded of this fact. Flint writes that a fundamental badge of a “free society” is that the law must be applied “without discrimination”. That's no longer the case in Australia. Governments have “condoned or even directed” favouritism and advantages to certain electorates.

They have done this in cahoots with Australian voters, whose recent behaviour - or silence in many cases - shows that they prefer Islam to Christianity and Judaism, either because they are warped, or they are frightened of violent Islamism.

The most egregious example of Labor’s attitude to, and fear of, Islam, goes back the Gillard government, that changed the long standing vote in the UN vote on Palestinian recognition because the pathetic minister at the time said that he could not defend the long standing vote “on the steps of the Lakemba mosque”.

This gutlessness has continued during the most horrific anti-Semitic demonstrations ever in what used to be a safe place for Jews, but no longer is.

While the mob yelled out “gas the Jews” (now denied by a lying senior policeman quoting an UNIDENTIFIED ‘expert’) while the NSW politicised police stood by, or arrested a Jew or two, and warned Jews in general not to leave their homes.

What next? Covid-like house arrest for Jews for their ‘safety”?

Flint also asks why Section 93Z of the Crimes Act hasn't been enforced, and taken to court where, if guilt was found, the result could be up to three years jail and/or a fine of up to $11,000. With bipartisan support, this Act was designed to make prosecution more likely to be successful than any other. There is NO EXCUSE

How many keyboard warriors ever direct their concerns or ask hard questions directly to their local MP, Senators or to Ministers, as I suggested Josephus do?

Few to zero is my guess. Australians - despite ANZAC Ned Kelly and the larrikin/disdainful of authority myth - tend to go to water if they have to reveal their real identity, even to their servants, politicians. And, that's why politicians are getting away with what they shouldn't be getting away with.
