After publicly stating over 100 times that Labor would not touch the legislated stage 3 tax cuts, it looks as though Labor is about to break yet another iron-clad promise it made to voters.

Why does Labor feel so free to lie to voters? It is almost as though they expect to lose the next election.

Only a jerk would not realise that with a trillion dollars of NOALITION debt left as the legacy of ten years of useless government, LABOR needed to take action on these extravagant tax cuts the NOALITION promised to their super mega rich mates! Something costing ordinary Australians, billions!

Tonight, millions of ordinary Australians are thanking Albo and the LABOR government for that little extra support with tax cuts for the battlers, as they are doing it tough with inflation and rising interest rates, thanks to the do nothing NOALITION Government. Dud Dutton might be commiserating with the wealthy fat cats that are his supporter base, BUT WHO CARES!

I oppose these stage-3 cuts, but promises need to be kept nevertheless.
Otherwise you never know what important promise would be broken in future that would break your heart too.

My suggestion:

Have a tick-box in one's tax-return: "I insist on having my stage-3 cuts as promised".

Those who tick that box will get their cuts... and also be named and shamed.
