Daniel Andrews has had so many good wishes sent his way
from people of all political persuasions. As Jeff Kennett
stated his legacy will be shown in the years to come. As
a Victorian - I was grateful for the stance he took against
COVID. I an my family received all of our shots and the
boosters as well.

Recently I had surgery and spent a great deal of time in
a public hospital and also later in their Transition Care
Program. The care I received was incredible. First class.
I consider myself very lucky. Even now - I am receiving
help.

I cannot complain about the Premier's actions in what he's
done. So far I feel that Victorians have done well as a
result of this man's actions. I hope that all of the
infrastructure projects that he started will be completed by
his successor. To me he did a great deal, and I hope that
Victoria will continue to do well.

My guess is that something very bad for Andrews, or Victoria as a whole, is about to hit the fan, & Andrews is getting out of the way now to leave the mess to his replacement.

Hi Hassie,

We'll have to wait and see won't we?

Jeff Kennett and others didn't seem to think so.
Not even the radio shock jocks. They all thought
that the man simply had had enough. It will be
interesting to see what he does next though. I
can't help wondering where his life-path will
lead him to next.

Our politicians are well provided for. They get a huge
pay out for life, plus other perks. suck as an expense
account and a driver. Amazing perks.

As I understand- in Victoria the Labor Party was dominated by the Far Left Faction- ie. Daniel Andrews probably wasn't moderate - perhaps the new Deputy Leader Ex-Transport Minister is from the Right Faction of the Labor Party. Apparently it's a tradition for the leader and deputy leaders to come from a balance of the factions. But Jacinta Alan and Daniel Andrews were apparently both from the Far Left Faction despite this rule. This perhaps indicates the dominance of the Far Left Faction within the Labor Party in Victoria.

Hopefully this means that Victorian politics will be slightly better until the next Victorian election- and will be seen to govern closer to the will of the electorate.

A challenge for Traditionalists is to get the electorate to start asking the questions- Is what the politicians tell them is in their self interest really in their interest?

I'm not a Victorian so don't really care all that much.

But for me the enduring legacy of the rule of Chairman Dan was the authoritarian lockdowns instituted by he and his sidekicks with the single most memorable thing being Victorian police firing on peaceful protestors. A dark day for Australia and, I fear, an excuse for similar Gestapo tactics by Dan's successors.
