People who still believe in freedom of speech can sign a petition against the government's proposed Communications Legislation Amendment (Combating Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023 at:-

https://www.binthebill.au/

. Misinformation can be any statement by ordinary Australians.

. Anything the government authorises can't be misinformation, but if you criticise the government, that can be misinformation.

. Digital companies will censor statements by Australians so that they will not be fined by the government.

. Government officials can force Australians to appear before them to answer questions about misinformation and issue fines of $8,000 per day if they don't attend.

. If a university academic says something, it can't be misinformation, but if you disagree with the academic, that can be disinformation.

. The government can exclude its favourite websites from the law so that anything that appears on those sites can't be misinformation. But the same material on other sites will be disinformation.

I can see some on OLO who plaster the site with misinformation through their vitriol in favour of a 'NO' vote for the referendum, being called to account at some stage. Who knows, an analysis of the opening post on this thread could expose it as chock full of misinformation as well.

Dear Ttbn,

«You'll have to explain that to me.»

The website you referred us is named:

[https://www.] binthebill [.au/]

where "binthebill" stands for bin-the-bill, that particularly bad bill of restricting communications between people whose views the government does not like.

Of course I signed that petition, that was a no-brainer, but there are hundreds and thousands of other laws, past, present and future bills/laws that constantly harass us ordinary people, that sit like millstones on our neck - just imagine how we could be able to breath without them, which is why I suggested to similarly:

Bin-All-Bills

or in URL format, https://www.binallbills.au

We should have known, ttbn is a mouth piece for the LIBERAL PARTY, singing from the Noalition song book. Yep, "Binthebill....Authorised by David Coleman MP, Liberal Party of Australia. You didn't mention you are asking for signatures on behalf of the LIBERAL PARTY.

Coleman said; "Anything the Albanese Labor Government authorises can't be misinformation - but if you criticise the Government that can be misinformation."

The Parrot said; "Anything the government authorises can't be misinformation, but if you criticise the government, that can be misinformation."

Coleman said; "Digital companies will censor statements by Australians so that they don't get big fines from the Government."

The Parrot said; "Digital companies will censor statements by Australians so that they will not be fined by the government."

ttbn keeps parroting Coleman, but he doesn't let on that's what he's doing. He wants us to believe its all his own handy work!

ttbn is Coleman paying you?
