To claim heritage can not be taken at face value when the bureaudroids can't differentiate between an Australian indigenous * a Pacific Islander or even an African or as I once witnessed, a Maltese. I also remember & still know Malays & Filipinos, Japanese etc before they identified as Indigenous Australians.
So, you can see why I think such identifying is in need of proof !

If the yes vote gets up everybody born in Australia can claim aboriginality. We are part of the soil, plant and flesh nurtured on Australian land. Our voices deserve to be equally heard by those administering services on our behalf. It is our forefathers and mothers who have built this society from bush and raised cities. It is they who are our elders to whom we give respect, it is they who have given their lives for our benefit. Vote No to a single racial Voice that disregards the sacrifice of our elders, elders who have attempted to give equality to all regardless of race.

It seems to me there are a great many 'opinions' here based mainly on emotion.
Facts are not only succinct, they are almost inviolable.
So shall we stick to facts?
Work out what is real and what is misleading.
I do think authorities are 'glossing over' certain issues.
This is partly because they have not thought them through properly.
As a result, even if they are wrong, they almost believe what they are saying.
And if they then get the bit between their collective teeth....
