I forgot to mention that the Sydney Opera House was lit
up in the colours of the Pride Progress Flag to mark the opening night of WorldPride 2023 on Friday (17 Feb.). The landmark was lit up in rainbow colours as part of Sydney's WorldPride Rainbow City's activation which will see 45 pieces of public art installed across the city including rainbows on Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, and at the Royal Botanic Gardens as well as within the Blue MOuntains. Check out the calendar of events. Posted by Foxy, Monday, 20 February 2023 10:10:51 AM

Apparently the city is buzzing with excitement and
activity.
People feel that this is a huge landmark
event and a huge opportunity for the city. It will
turbocharge the economy, create jobs, and support
local businesses across the state, This once in a
lifetime festival will take place over 17 days with
over 300 free and ticketed events taking place across
the city.
500,000 participants expected to take part including an
estimated 78,000 visitors.
This is the first WorldPride Festival ever held in
the Southern Hemisphere.
There's so much for visitors to see and do.
It promises to be a fabulous event.
