Hey Wakings, I completely agree with your assessment of kidman, she was getting pity votes for a couple of years there. But if you'll notice, since being given an oscar, everything she's done has been tanking big time, to complete irrelevency. That old video, she's far more articulate than she is today, after all the physical upgrades and procedures, all the networking, the hair straightening pressings and bleachings, she's seemingly become neurotic and stunted in her public persona. As you mentioned, and I've said before, she's as dull and as bland as her complexion.

I don't really watch alot of her movies because NK doesn't appeal to me. I did recently sit down to watch 'Cold Mountain'and found the first part very boring.It wasn't until Renee Zellwinger came into the picture did the story line imporove. My issue with this movie was the fact that NK and Jude Laws characters supposively found undying love with each other when they hardly said a word to each other.He goes of to war she writes a love letter begging him to return. Of course JL obliges.What a load of rubbish.

Now I can see why RZ won an oscar for best supporting actress she saved that movie from being a major flop.

well Wakings, I havent seen cold mountain, but I'm sure it was a bore until Zellweger shows up... if I recall, interestingly, kidman, of course, said at some point in PR for this movie, she used Cruise as "inspiration" for this character falling in love at first sight. Its typical of her to bring up her, not just marriage to Cruise, but the break up as well in every interview for every one of her movies, even after 6 years, and still does it, even while engaged and after getting married to urban. I'll tell you, it must not do urban's fragile state any good to read her saying publicly that she's still in love with cruise, and would still want to be married to him.
