Ahhhhh! Our Nic!! Yup...I agree with Adriana et al.....This surgically enhanced, nutritionally challenged, overpaid excuse for an artiste is definitely on my hate list...and I don't even know why! Perhaps it is the mindless fodder she provides for the so-called women's magazines (what an insult to women), or is it her sex life? Why is it so interesting to so many people? I personally think mine is a lot more interesting...even if it doesn't make worldwide headlines...or warrant me being nominated for a prestigious award for contributions to humanity and the arts. Oh dear...where is my valium?????

I AGREE WITH EVERYONE WHO HATES NICOLE KIDMAN...in fact the only thing worse than nicole kidman is baz luhman (sic) he and nicole kidman together single handedly have relegated a 20th century perfume icon to somekind of giveaway you receive after you sit through the matrix trilogy...the tragedy of kidman apart from having no personality to speak of is that she is held in such reverence in australia...I think her being made special n.s.w. person has something to do with her drinking coffee at bondi whenever she comes out here to dry out.

Movies stars are nothing but a bunch of very good looking very lucky people who were not only born with great enough self esteem to beleive they could be movie stars, but actually got to BE movie stars. So now they have all that and multi million dollar paychecks to go with it. None of them are really that terrific at acting. It really dosen't take that much skill to remember lines and cry on cue. (They are given cream to make their eyes water anyway) Even Jack Nicholson who always delights, pretty much plays the same character in every movie He does. It's quite rare that someone actually really blows me away with their acting. So why do we love these people so much? What have they done for US? On another wavelength, why does every female movie star have to at some stage bare her naked self? Why does She have to be gorgeous? Why do the men get away with being unattractive. Look at the channel ten news. The women are all stunning the men, balding and aged. Especially the financial guy paul ? Somebody? He is positively revolting. imagine a woman on that same level of attractiveness trying to get a job in tv. fat chance!!

I HAVE ASSOSIATES AND FRIENDS WHO ARE ACTORS/MUSICIANS/SMALL BUSINESS PEOPLE AND ARTISTS,ALL LIVING ON THE FRINGES, NONE ARE DOING VERY WELL AT PRESENT,IN FACT ALL ARE SUFFERING FAR WORSE THAN THEY EVER HAVE, YET THE MEDIA TELLS US CONSTANTLY THAT WE ARE IN A BOOM PERIOD...WHILE THOSE SUFFERING CLING TO THEIR BELIEFS AND IDEALS, THE MEDIA RAISES PEOPLE LIKE NICOLE KIDMAN and the like to unobtainable heights . JUST AS SHOPPING MALLS ARE DESTROYING SMALL BUSINESSES (along with that old chestnut the gst, an artist cannot receive any money from a work unless they have an abn no.) AUSTRALIA IS IN DANGER OF BECOMING A NON STATE...only really rewarding its creatives unless they are heavily featured in dumbed down tabloids...you only have to look at the social pages of sundays newspapers to know what a tragic state...blame John Howard and big business for this.. not nicole kidman she is only continuing a tradition that has rewarded people like jackie onnassis and others for centuries... But while a forum like this may exist in cyberspace...there is still no real voice of australia's cretive community in the regular media...
