This way or the other, forcing all the people of that region, of such very different cultures and values, to live under a one-state umbrella would be a lose-lose torture.

They can not live with each other & they can not live separated, they need each other as enemies because they have no concept of friendship & they cherish conflict. There can't be a solution because there is no answer to have a solution.

Liberal Jews and liberal Arabs can live well together.
Conservative Arabs and conservative Jews lived together until the 1920's: it was not completely idyllic, but they managed.
