Israel-Hamas war affirms the indispensability of a two-state solution : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 8/12/2023

Unless Israel establishes an endgame strategy that will lead to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the war against Hamas will only be another brutal violent episode.

The two state solution is for religious reasons unacceptable to the
Arab population within the River to the Sea.
However there is a clause in the Koran, and sorry I cannot quote it,
that permits Moslems to Make an agreement in bad faith with Infidels
with the intention to break the agreement at a time of advantage to the moslems.
An alternative Is for the River to the Sea to be awarded to the Arabs
and some other country such as Jordon or Saudi Arabia have a Jewish state established.
Another alternative could be to saw off a part of Australia to establish a seventh state.

Now you will probably be thinking I have been smoking something strange.
Well it is nowhere as strange as thinking a two state solution in the
Middle East is possible. It has been rejected many times by the moslem
countries but you cannot trust them if they do agree.
The only solution is to kill all the Jews.
No one else has found a mutually acceptable solution so why could we.

I do not believe that a two-state solution is not doable.

Something has to change, and we should start with Israeli television and the sanitised view of the war being presented by the Israelis.

There needs to be a different way to progress the war against Hamas without slaughtering civilians/human sandbags.

The two-state solution was nearly many years ago but the Israeli that had the deal on the table was murdered by Mossad?

Dear Alan,

«I do not believe that a two-state solution is not doable.»

One just cannot force independence on people who do not want to have it.

Nevertheless, Israel should just leave those cursed territories, unilaterally, then let the pieces fall there however they fall.

(and remain armed to the teeth, in case it is required to come in again, just as it is now forced to in Gaza)

Nonetheless, a two-state solution must be offered, and Jordan asked to become the intermediatory. If it's refused, then a war should proceed until they surrender. The status quo is unacceptable/ends nothing.

Dear Alan,

«Nonetheless, a two-state solution must be offered»

But of course, it was offered many times in the past and will be offered again and again and again in future, once Netanyahu is gone, that is.

What I was saying was, that Israel need not wait and plead for the local Arabs to do it a great favour and accept its offers, but rather, it should leave the place and make it clear that whatever happens there afterwards, over its border, is none of its business (so long of course that Israel does not get attacked again from those areas).

«The status quo is unacceptable/ends nothing.»

Exactly. The status quo of endless occupation and Israel accommodating those Jewish settlers, is unacceptable. Israel should just leave, and whatever the people who stay there do or not do after that will be none of its business.

If you think the holocaust of 70 years ago is was something to remember, and never forget, do you suppose the world is going to quietly dismiss this massacre in Gaza?
The reason Israel targeted killing children is because they know it's the children that will remember the barbaric killings and be tomorrows freedom fighters.
Just as all Germans were considered perpetrators and enablers of the Holocaust, Israelis will be held accountable in the same way for the massacre of Gaza.
In turn this will extend to Jews all over the world as being enablers of the Israeli state and it's actions.
Whereas a percentage of the German populace could claim ignorance the Jews worldwide have no such benefit of doubt.
The West will claim that it merely tried to help whilst the Jews will carry the blame, as they have done for centuries through the West's manipulation and duplicity.
Netanyahoo will be remembered as no different to Hitler in most quarters
