What an utterly inane comment.

Fatah did exactly that in the West Bank. It recognised Israel's right to exist, it worked with Israeli authorities on matters of both governance and security.

And look what it has gotten them. Continuing land theft, invasion by violent American settlers, pogroms, killings, and being forced into smaller and smaller tightly controlled enclaves.

That is their future being crushed by the state of Israel.
