Not only was Chiang Kai-shek responsible for 10 million deaths in China between 1928 to 1949, Chiang Kai-shek's regime on TAIWAN was responsible for thousands more deaths there between 1949 and 1975. Summery executions at the hands of the regime continued on TAIWAN after the death of Chiang Kai-shek in 1976. At the time of his death Chiang Kai-shek eldest son, Premier Chiang Ching kuo, was the ruler of TAIWAN Chiang Ching kuo continued with his fathers policy of autocratic rule until his death in 1988.
