Democrats impeaching Trump fuel hatred, division and violence : Comments

By David Singer, published 9/2/2021

The first unsuccessful impeachment of Trump was a major contributing factor in the Democrats seeing their 235-199 control of the House of Representatives reduced to 220-212.

The United States has a history of political parties that have passed their use by date after they have elected presidents or vice-presidents. They no longer represent a coherent doctrine in the light of changing reality and disappear. They are Federalist, Democrat-Republican, Whig and Union. Possibly Trump has finished the Republican Party.

So true Cyclone, Bazza and Joe

See/hear the most damning words in Trump's Sieg Heil Incitement Speech Jan 6, 2021 here http://youtu.be/mh3cbd7niTQ?t=30s

KEY WORDS OF VIOLENCE IN SPEECH TEXT CONTINUES:

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/1/11/full-transcript-donald-trump-january-6-incendiary-speech

"It’s a disgrace. Even when you look at last night, they’re all running around like chickens with their heads cut off with boxes. Nobody knows what the hell is going on. There’s never been anything like this. We will not let them silence your voices. We’re not going to let it happen. Not going to let it happen.

Crowd: Fight for Trump! Fight for Trump! Fight for Trump!

...They’ve totally lost control. They’ve used the pandemic as a way of defrauding the people in a proper election...

...The weak Republicans, they’re pathetic Republicans and that’s what happens. If this happened to the Democrats, there’d be hell all over the country going on. There’d be hell all over the country.

But just remember this. You’re stronger, you’re smarter. You’ve got more going than anybody, and they try and demean everybody having to do with us, and you’re the real people. You’re the people that built this nation. You’re not the people that tore down our nation...

The weak Republicans, and that’s it. I really believe it. I think I’m going to use the term, the weak Republicans. You got a lot of them, and you got a lot of great ones, but you got a lot of weak ones...

...Unbelievable, what we have to go through, what we have to go through and you have to get your people to fight. If they don’t fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don’t fight. You primary them. We’re going to let you know who they are. I can already tell you, frankly.

But this year using the pretext of the China virus and the scam of mail-in ballots, Democrats attempted the most brazen and outrageous election theft. There’s never been anything like this. It’s a pure theft in American history, everybody knows it."

SHOCKING!

Fuel hatred and violence? The sieg hiel mob that attacked capital hill, can't be wound any tighter.
The kinda crap that you promote buddy, serves nobody! Certainly not unity!

I don't believe Biden has much of an appetite for impeachment and there are enough completely corrupt republicans in the senate to give the A-hole a free pass. even where it can be demonstrated the A-hole broke the law by applying pressure on a Georgia official to try and rig the election?

In truth, there probably was some fraud and rigging for Trump and with the help of some Russian cybercriminals? But hardly any evidence whatsoever for anything like the A-hole seditionist claims for the Dems.

The A-hole needs to pay for his proven crimes a would any other citizen protected by a bill of irrevocable rights? He needs to be soapeaned and forced to take the stand. where should he want to, he can plead the fifth?

Others who he has pardoned have no such avenue open to them and are confronted with just two choices? Perjury and prison or simply answering the questions, with statement of fact!

NY Prosecution awaits!

In this time of social calamity in the US, where the pre COVID estimate of homelessness is very conservatively estimated at 170/100k of the population, and where estimates of a potential figure of forty million homeless following the current COVID emergency are appearing on the horizon, why couldn’t a reasonable person anticipate a Governing traditional working class centred political party, have the welfare of its citizens set as a priority over and above a vindictive bitch-out.

Give me Donald Trump every time!

Dan,

Well, it's obviously not 'either-or' - the Dems seem to be tackling many, many issues at once, there would be so much to do. So yes, they can try to impeach Trumpf (a lost cause, I think, given Republicans' utterly principle-free opportunism), AND tackle homelessness. As well as a multitude of other issues.

Yes, government people can walk and fart at the same time, as a famous Democrat president observed.

Plant,

The bar for incitement is far higher than what you have offered. Incitement would need to include Trump either directly instructing the crowd to invade the Capitol or making statements to the crowd that could only be interpreted that way.

This second impeachment is as evidence deficient as the first. The vote is likely to go along partisan lines and fail again. This combined with the highly partisan action taken by house democrats to exclude a republican congresswoman from committees will also be remembered when the republicans take the house
