Let's burn the whole thing down: death, protest and George Floyd : Comments
By Binoy Kampmark, published 3/6/2020What is happening across the United States cannot simply be labelled as a looting-leads-to-shooting episode. It ranks as another chapter of enraged despair and untidy opportunism.

I think it's better police dress in plain clothes.

Funny, but not funny, how all those journalists wrote that the COVID-19 Crisis would have the long term effect of BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER in a more considerate way.
Resumption of regular race riots in the US [1] and now even in France [2] proves otherwise. The unlawful killing of a man by a police officer was always going to be dealt with by the forces of law and order. But, the incident has been used by Antifa and other criminal thugs for anarchy, rioting and looting. Four more people have been killed. Half-wits are blaming Donald Trump. And Leftist commentators and brainless posters are really enjoying the opportunity to spew their hatred of America.
Well, folks, might always wins. No country can allow mobs to dictate policy, and America must do whatever is needed to put to put the lunatics down. Posted by ttbn, Wednesday, 3 June 2020 9:35:28 AM

Sorry, most of the protestors on the street are not radicals.
Some on here seem to repeat what Trump says. They actually need to look at a variety of news sources. The reality is that people all over the world are disgusted by what happened, but few would support violent protest. Posted by Chris Lewis, Wednesday, 3 June 2020 9:46:16 AM

The Western world seems to be infested with academics and media reporters like Binoy Kampmark, who want to politicise every western social problem in existence as being a product of white racism versus minority victimisation. Every article, like this one, they pen is framed in this way. It is as if they realise that with the declining white birth rates within white countries, and the surging population growth of minorities in western countries (either through immigration or birth rate differentials), the time to put the boot into white people and curry favour with the soon to be majority minorities is now.
A white police officer in the USA, through total stupidity appears to have unintentionally killed a helpless and already restrained arrestee. He will be dealt with by the US Justice system. But that is not enough for those who seek to undermine the societies they often chose to live in by pretending to be the champions of minorities against white oppression. The images of middle class socialists and imported people from dysfunctional societies demonstrating in western capitals, and minorities rioting, looting, and burning buildings in the USA, clearly displays that white baiting in the west has gone too far. The entire western world is now seeing a clear view of the future if we continue to import third world people into first world white western societies. My prediction is, that white people will now become more racist as they fear for their children's future, from the violent ethnic minorities they so stupidly allowed to immigrate into their societies. The Asians must be laughing their heads of at the entire western world. It will be the Asian Century, unless the West gets over it's stupid obsession with racism and starts realising that a bit of racism to defend your country and your values is no bad thing. There is no multiculturalism in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, or China. They know that unity is strength, and diversity is death Posted by LEGO, Wednesday, 3 June 2020 9:49:22 AM

No doubt you know your stuff, but I find most of your articles mostly a rehash of the news that has already been blurted out all over the press in the days before.
Given you are an academic, how about pieces that take more time to research, to reflect your skills and intellect, that offer an overview of each issue and some realistic policy offering that can help readers understand it and what can be done to resolve it.
Cheers,
Dr C
