But at what price!
The heavy price for having more people, which we already pay dearly for, is our freedom. The more the people, the more regimentation and technology is required in order to keep them from stepping on each other's toes.
Without freedom we still kind of live, biologically that is, but then such life has no purpose. If regimentation and technology force us to all live in the same way, use the same tools and have the same habits, then why not leave just one person on earth, why this replication?
Understandably, the communist author doesn't care for our freedom - they thrive on regimentation and technology, which they consider to be "progress". Even if he is economically correct (I am no economist so I cannot tell), the life-style that he promotes is hell on earth.
