OUG, I read your post, hard work, but as it was aimed a me I thought I would.

What I am saying is that IF GOVERNMENTS WISH TO STOP SMOKING there are ways to achieve this without being sued by cig companies.

While cig companies may have the rights to their trade marked advertising, which is what they are fighting for, they can not sue a government that either bans the sales, or, hides the product from view. It's the changing of the packaging that has caused the issue, nothing else.

As for public places, that referee to anywhere outside of ones personal home/yard.

As for the four meter rule, I thought it was 3, shopping centers are the winners out of this, as many charge or review their rents on traffic numbers and, if you have 300 smokers in the centre, and each exits for ten smokes a day, that's fudging the figures.

As for my rules with regards to smoking in my shops, they were my shops and my rules. End of story.

But, as I say, it's like speeding fines and alike, if we all suddenly stop speeding, who pays the bills.
