We have no dispute about the character of Mr. Singer, but I can't recall Mr. Singer ever writing about religion. If he has any religious views, then he is probably keeping them to himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he is an atheist. Even according to Jewish criteria, Mr. Singer is not religious, if for nothing else because he breaks the Sabbath, which the bible describes as a crime punishable by "having this soul cut-off from its nation" (translated by the Rabbis into death by burning).
