//I wonder if some of the apologists could explain why those who stand up to criminal racists are called racists by the apologists ?//

Because their reasoning is flawed. Just because one thinks Blair Cottrell is massive knob, it doesn't follow that one thinks all white people are knobs.

Toni Lavis,
I have met more non-cucasian racists than caucasian. I reall one incident many moons ago when in a very crowded bar in Brisbane someone accidentally pushed against a band member of the Drifters. This bloke turned to me & snarled "watch it, white $hit".
Living in indigenous communities for most of my life i could rattle off some really bad incidents of racism from both sides.

Toni Lavis said "still banging on about reds under the bed in 2019? It's times like this I wish OLO let one do the eye rolling emoji." "paraphrase Nietzsche, Marx is dead."

Answer-

The following links are interesting...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Equality_Party_(Australia)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism_in_Australia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Party_(Australia)

This guy Stephen Jolly based in Melbourne seems to be involved in a lot of things including the infamous "Militant" of the Irish Labour Party. He even has his own wiki link.

It appears "The Militant" even appeared in Australia within the Australian Labor Party.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Jolly_(politician)

According to the link Stephen Jolly was a participant in the "S11 anti-globalisation protests in Melbourne" where marbles were rolled under the police horses feet.

(Strangely many conservatives and nationalists are also against globalisation- but wouldn't agree with the far left- or their tactics)

"In February 2018, Jolly announced that he will be contesting a seat in the Senate in the 2018 Victorian state elections... campaign was also endorsed by several public figures such as Noam Chomsky, Gary Foley, and Tariq Ali." Fascinating how Jolly has gotten these endorsements.

Jolly is only one of the influencial people within the far left in Australia- there are others in politics in the unions and in the departments.

The UK/ Ireland appear (from my brief investigation) to be quite influencial over the far left in Australia.

I believe that Toni Lavis is also from Irish stock... not that it means anything.

The link Socialism in Australia- lists many Trotskyist groups.

I suspect some of these groups are linked with the "far left anti-protestors" that appeared at Melbournes St Kilda rally.

At risk of sounding conspiratorial- following the threads of the far left is an interesting exercise- you start to see patterns of people and narrative- not that it always means anything. Sometimes down the track I see something new and everything seems to make sense- you see the Australian political landscape in a whole new way- often the far left have covered much more ground than I had thought possible.

The far left appear to be very well connected- they must work very hard with networking

I am so pleased with all the responses thus far to "The
Age" article that I gave. That's what makes this
forum so interesting. Of course the reactions are
understandable. We're all different, with different
concerns about the issues involved.

Please keep on expressing your concerns - they are
educational and well worth reading.

Yesterday in the SMH a story about a young WASP offender appeared
He told arresting police, some thing like this *come back and see me in a few hours*
*I will get bail, I always get bail*
He did not
And I cheered, he is part of the problem, our law and order is too,
By being soft on offenders, any color any race any faith
It breeds the hate we see here, convinces some they/them ,can get away with any thing
Do not be blind to crime,do not defend the few
it feeds hate to not see wrong on both sides
