3 working criteria as confirmation of Aboriginality
and Torres Strait Islander heritage. They are as follows:

1) Being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

2) Identifying as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person.

3) Being accepted as such by a community in which you live,
or formerly lived.

All of these must apply. The way you look or how you live
are not requirements.

Plus forms are required to be filled out and there
are protocols that are followed.
