The thread is called red China and the ALP.
Reference is made to Rudd thinking he can trust these something or other little people?
It is stated Howard and Rudd are both betraying us by sending our raw materials over seas?
While it would be great to add value here and export finished goods would Asia have the money to buy them? or want them?
Now that remark that we are exporting our food we grow to have it sent back to us? it is not true of much we grow is it?
Food bowl of the world? maybe wheat ,some sugar, but apart from meat what else?
We without drought may well be , I doubt we will starve in this country.
Live animal exports , well we imported our Marino,s and the horse flu came via live animals.
Without doubt some practices in exporting animals are quite cruel, and wrong.
However yet again can we sell meat to those markets that take live animals?
Is it just a dream? is it not true some country's want live sheep only?
While I have an understanding of your friendly unions wants and needs like much in life the best result may be something quite different.
Australia no longer has a manufacturing industry, I deeply regret that but world trade killed it not any government set on betrayal.
We can not pick what we want to send over seas and what we want to keep, this country is at the very top of its game, the economy is booming what would it be like without exports?
Do we gain from ignoring reality?
And bring some of these jobs back to Australia? workers, how do we get them? we already import workers to fill jobs as we have more jobs in some places than workers.
