Since last April I have not been getting notifications from OLO for
such as new posts, posts responding to others post.
I get notifications from other sites OK.
Interestingly, the notifications I should get are not on the Bigpond
mail server. All my other emails are there OK.
I did also find an unprintable character hex 04 which is line feed
after the au in my address, when I removed it it made no difference.
I receive emails from Graham OK.

Any suggestions, or similar expeience would be appreciated.

Bigpond might consider OLO messages as spam.
Have you tried registering a different E-mail address with OLO?

Line-feed is hex 0A (CTRL-J): http://www.asciihex.com/character/control/10/0x0A/lf-line-feed

ttbn they are on the page where you set profiles.
Yuyutsu, it was 04 but I looked that up in an old DOS book.
It could mean the same thing in some software.
Usually when I enter an email address I just c/r but I am more
careful now since I found an unprintable character in an email
in the senders email address when it failed to be filtered out by
my mail filter. It was a spam email that was coming several times a
week so I wanted to delete it, but the filter failed because of the
unprintable character.
Linux might handle the characters differently when comparing.

I don't know where you set profiles either. What do you need to be notified about?

I go to the site and look to see if there is anything new.

I'm not being a smartarse, and I realise this is something important to you: you have brought it up before. I just don’t get it. Perhaps it's a case of ignorance is bliss for me, and I hope someone can solve your problem.

I was told by a Telstra consultant that Bigpond is being phased out over the next two years. Perhaps they've started to condition us for that ?
I just spent &1900 on a signal booster but the improvement is only marginal on occasions.
Telstra is not performing well enough in return for what the customers pay.
I blame Telstra shareholders, not the people who work there.
