SM, you have to realise your side lost the War, and you'll just have to get over it. No going back.

Hi Paul,
Talking about wars. Did you happen to see the film last night - "American Sniper," with the actor Bradley Cooper? It's a true story adapted from the autobiography of Chris Kyle, a legendary US sniper who sacrifices everything just to protect his comrades. Clint Eastwood made this move and the film totally deserved the Oscar it got in 2016. The film follows the life of Kyle who became the deadliest sniper in US military history with 255 kills from 4 tours of the Iraq War. 160 of which were officially confirmed by the Department of Defense. Kyle tragically was killed back in the US by a veteran he was trying to help. He was buried with full military honours. The film is an amazing statement on war. It made a very deep impression on me. G7 countries are real busy hammering the nails into their own coffins.
Russia scraps Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline reopening stoking European fuel fears, as G7 pledges oil price cap http://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-09-03/russia-scraps-nord-stream-1-gas-pipeline-reopening/101402996 Leaders at the G7 summit pledge to continue supporting Ukraine for 'as long as it takes' in the fight against Russia http://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-06-28/g7-leaders-renew-pledge-ukraine-support-russia-sanctions/101188438 They're gambling that their citizens care about Ukraine more than they care about the cost and standard of living in their own countries. They'll certainly be on the losing end of this battle. Since the beginning, they pledged unwavering support for Ukraine. They thought economic sanctions would create an economic crisis in Russia, which would then lead to a political crisis that might result in Putin's ousting. They miscalculated. Now all they can do is 'double down on stupid' because they're not willing to accept any of the blame for bringing their own problems on themselves, which would leave all their leaders admitting they were wrong and eating humble pie, which would see out their governments. When winter comes, and they start shutting down industries they will be facing huge amount of civil discontent and from the business community, which will make way for more populist nationalistic governments. The worlds inhabitants care more about food and energy than weapons for Ukraine, meanwhile Zelensky's conscripts are used as cannon fodder. Insane effort yesterday, sending 60 troops to attack the Zaporizhzhia NPP prior to IAEA inspection. What the hell were they thinking? The Great Kherson Counter-Offensive failed, with heavy casualties. Morgues in Mykolaiv overflowing. Posted by Armchair Critic, Saturday, 3 September 2022 10:42:39 AM
