Generally speaking those who complain about current democracies are really complaining that their point of view isn't given sufficient weight. "If only people thought and voted like me, then democracy would be much improved."

Its the authoritarian impulse trying to usurp democracy and wear its banners for their own aims.

We see quite a number of OLO-ers who also constantly rage about how we haven't got a real democracy and it almost always comes down to them complaining that their opinions don't win. True democrats to a man <sarc off>.

I have to say that I don’t understand these people wetting themselves over Morrison’s 'usurping' of a few ministerships - which he never exercised - apart from knocking a valuable gas project in the head (which should have pleased the self-wetters), when the very same people meekly accepted Morrison’s dodging of his responsibilities by setting up an unconstitutional 'national cabinet' and handing draconian laws over to power-crazed state premiers, who made Australian's lives miserable, and removed any respect and trust there might been for the political class. Morrison also handed his responsibilities over to unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats during the Covid panic. In opposition, Albowhine never said boo about these things.

Hey mhaze,
You obviously don't see the bigger picture in regards to my reasons.
Democracy is the stepping stone to world government.
And world government means we Australians don't govern anything in our country,
- and nor does anybody else in theirs.

It's the best system for globalists, bankers and elites to get what they want, not the best system for the people of each nation to get what they want.

Erdogan once said 'Democracy is a bus. You ride it until you reach your destination, and then you get off.'

1. Why isn't the UN right to self determination recognised in Crimea?
2. Does support for democracy include a legitimate right to undermine, overthrow, and install a puppet ruler that supports western interests?
- Even in countries that have parliaments and hold elections?

Tell me about your so-called 'democracy'
How exactly does it work, what are the rules?
- Or do they just change the rules to suit their own interests?

Examples
Kurdish right to self determination - Yes
Crimean / Donetsk / Luhansk right to self determination - No
Right to overthrow democratically elected leader of Ukraine in 2014 - Yes

Can anyone explain to me what are these international rules?
What is democracy other than a assumed right to take over other nations?
If you support democracy, then I ask that you defend it,
Tell me exactly how this system works.

- Because I can't possibly defend this system without understanding the rules.

Crimea is recognised as a part of Ukraine that is presently occupied by Russian invaders.

The Russian organised "vote" was as fraudulent as possible and not recognised by most of the world.
