To PALE, Bugsy, and other interested parties:

I'd like to confirm that a number of accounts were banned last week, on the basis that they were duplicates. Not just a pair, but *five* fake identities:

1) created close together in time;
2) from the same location as "JSP1488" who had just been banned;
3) all running the same operating system, .NET, and browser versions;
4) coordinating attacks on other forum members.

The nicknames were as follows:

JSP1488
Cuchulainn
Dorian Hawkmoon
Frank N Stein
AK47
Mr Mxyzptlk

If PALE or anyone else has evidence that we have made a mistake, they are encouraged to submit this evidence to us. However, please note that "he seemed like a good Muslim" is very weak evidence, particularly if you read Cuchulainn's early posts, most of which read like this:

"Islam is on the move. Anyone who dares to question this in our own land is immediately vilified as an Islamophobe. Does that make the accusers 'Westernphobes' or 'Christainphobes'?"

The other aforementioned accounts have gone much further, often borrowing the rhetoric of the white pride movement.

But the important point is that this individual was breaking forum rules to misrepresent and confuse, victimize, and sow discontent.

Disclaimer: My own view is that Islam is not above criticism, but those who attack it with dishonest, violent ideology are helping nobody.
