Fester,

Most new innovations and attempts at trying new
things run into problems and hiccups. However
they do eventually get sorted out - some faster
than others of course. But that's how changes
happen and we learn and grow - even from mistakes.

Foxy,

I like your optimism. I have reservations about renewable energy. It might make sense in special cases like Iceland, but I don't think it anywhere near as cheap and reliable as nuclear. Then there are the disposal issues for solar and wind. Australia usually follows the example of other countries after a few decades. I'm hoping the pollies might pay attention to the problems emerging with renewables in other parts of the world a bit sooner.

Fester,

I'm no pundit. It is a learning curve that's for
sure. However I feel optimistic. We're muddlers -
and we've muddled through in the past. I trust
we'll continue to do so. That's what we do until
we get it right.

Answer- Well I suppose we'll find Foxy in the shed putting together MOSFET's, rectifiers, batteries, solar panel's, and dynamos. Maybe she can tell us how to build a bromine flow battery. There's a difference between muddling a solution or just muddling- doing verses talking. Both Einstein and Marie Curie struggled with the technical sides of their chosen profession- Curie spent two years stirring dirt- at least they were wise enough to seek advise. If Foxy could at least ask intelligent questions that would be worthy of respect.

Foxy,

There are plenty of studies that show transgender "women" retain a significant edge in most sports, and there are no studies that show that trans women have no advantage.

Considering the draconian penalties for using substances for tiny improvements in performance it is clear that the issue is almost entirely political.

Hi Foxy,

Do you not feel inadequate in the presences of the great intellect The Kudos Kid! Don't you know he can quote that famous old Greek fish shop owner Arsethrottle, chapter and verse. A famous quote from Arsethrottle, "MATE! Do ya want lemon with dat fish 'n chippppppps". Interpret that as best you can, The Kudos Kid will no doubt find the deeper hidden meaning from Arsethrottle. All I could come up with was Arsethrottle was speaking of the denial of vinegar on yah fish n' chips on a Friday night. What do you think? Maybe The Kudos Kid can help us out.
