We were discussing transgenders in sport. I've got no problem with transgenders pretending, or believing, they are the opposite of what their chromosomes say. But let's not change the subject.
But the issue is whether they be allowed to use the benefits of their early exposure to testosterone to their advantage in sport and, even more importantly, whether women should be forced to complete against people who have that advantage. Anyone interested in the success of female sport should be concerned about this.
But in the end it comes down to a competition between so-called minority groups. Women claim to be discriminated against in salaries etc by male dominated sport and transgender women claim to be discriminated against by being denied to right to play against women. Whose rights are you most concerned with?
