Running up to the election, Spectator Australia has awarded four white feathers to Scott Morrison for his cowardice in:

Refusing to remove the ban on nuclear power.

Rushing into net zero by 2050.

Setting up the Covid National Cabinet, undermining his own authority, and refusing to use that authority to condemn the excesses of force by state premiers.

Claiming that the Commonwealth was not imposing mandatory vaccination, but not lifting a finger to rein in states and businesses that are.

Fair or not? The PM still has time to return the feathers.

Why flog a dead man? Isn't he the one that for long months denied us the ability to obtain COVID-19 vaccines (and in fact even now, only allows us be vaccinated with the vaccines that he brings and only subject to his conditions, for which "grace" we are supposed to "thank" him)?

Thousands died as a result and many more will remain crippled for the rest of their lives with long COVID - why is he then not charged with multiple accounts of manslaughter?

In a few months nobody will remember him... perhaps except his family which he traveled to visit while everyone else was in lockdown.

Yuyutsu,

Not dead until votes are counted. He was dying before the last election.

I don't have to propose anyone. If it's not Morrison it will be Albanese as you are well aware. It could have been Dutton if the Liberals had had any sense, but they stuck with the dud.

And I am not joking. Morrison was declared dead before the last election, and he got up and won! I don't think he can do the same this time. In my view, Albanese-Labor doesn’t have to win. The Coalition will lose. That's the way it works: governments always lose when the voters have had enough of them. Oppositions do not win.

The Coalition needs time in opposition to get a new leader, and return to their right of centre role. It's highly
unlikely that they will get two miracles in a row.

Yuyutsu you are completely wrong! Covid did nothing to our overall mortality rate it is a complete non-event. Long Covid will take over as the new go to condition to avoid getting a job.
However the staggering debt we find ourselves and the fascist regulations oppressing us are a whole different deal. Mark my words the pollies now know they can frighten us into giving up our savings and superannuation to pay off the debts they ran up. You my obedient, compliant friend have been well and truly played and should be ashamed of yourself!
