I read a piece today which describes Australians as a "nation of toddlers, craving parental protection". Australians in general are to blame, wanting politicians to tell them what to do, and how to stay safe; and to tell them, as some of the ignorant scaremongers do, that Covid is the most dangerous bug ever - when it is not. It's the people giving up their rights and freedoms, and politicians think all their Christmases have come at once: they have never had so much power. And the same ordinary citizens are turning on friends and neighbours, dobbing them in to the cops a la Iron Curtain days.

If we're getting the governments we deserve, then what that means is that we must all be mentally retarded.

Why is the principal assuring parents that none of the family are positive for Covid, if they've refused to be tested and are sick and unwell?

Do other people read this crap and pick up on it?
Or, are too dumb to even see the lie told to parents, or do we think that its ok to act this way?
And they actually PRINT it, like the person who wrote it can't even see the hypocrisy?

No. We are not all idiots. About 20% to perhaps 30% of us are OK. Some of the idiots are responsible for those people you refer to not being tested or arrested like other people who have refused to obey lawful instructions. They are in isolation, though, and shouldn't be allowed into the community until they are tested. As far as I am aware, there are no religious based exemptions, but given the idiots/ cowards dealing with such things, I might be wrong. We have had a religious spokeswoman recently bitching about Covid rules being - somehow - worse for her religion than it is for others, while the idiots reacted by saying that they had put themselves out more for the whingers, including feeding their camels, or something else that eats hay. Health emergencies and multiculturalism don't gel.

Our town is presently frequented by the left-overs of a music festival & let me tell you, it's scary.
Not as in these people being bad, they're just utterly un-cultured doped-up drongos & more than likely not looking for gainful employment after the fun.
It's scary because they're required by Law to vote.

Let's hope that they are so out of it that their votes are informal; or that that they don't even go to polling booths. Ferals like them usually fall outside polite society - untraceable, unfinable, etc. The ones whose votes worry me are the Greens and their like.
