After Christian Porter's strange announcement last night on television, there is no doubt that the Liberals have lost the will to fight. With no support at all from the Prime Minister - under the bus he goes, just like the ADF, some of whom were declared guilty without trial - the cloud remains over Porter's head. The ABC gets off with a mumbled 'regret' and, as with George Pell, the usual suspects will remain convinced of some wrongdoing by Porter. At least Pell was cleared by the High Court because he and his supporters knew he was innocent. Porter is doomed.

Trials are expensive and Christian Porter was
looking down the barrel of a long and very
expensive litigation with the risk of utterly
destroying his reputation.

In addition, his attempts to strike
out the most interesting parts of the ABC's defence
with the added risk of their becoming public very
soon and the loss of Porter's preferred senior
counsel who was removed from the case by the
Federal Court because of a conflict of interest
all may have helped Porter make his decision to
drop the case.

As Cardinal Pell learned
the hard way after being retired from any position
in Rome - mud does stick.

As for the Liberals losing the will to fight?
Scott Morrison according to the latest Newspoll
is still the preferred Prime Minister over
Anthony Albanese and the support for the
Coalition remains steady.

Of course things may change as we get closer to
the election - and what the government continues
to do with the pandemic.

'Cry Baby' Porter, didn't want his dirty linen aired in public, and some say he has enough dirty linen to fill a laundromat! No doubt Porters "reputation" had reached the ears of the PM, who does to some degree have a moral compass. The mistake Turnbull made with Porter was to take him at his word when he questioned him about philandering around the fleshpots of Canberra. Turnbull should have sent Porter packing instead of making him AG, what a mistake that was! For Morrison the best thing Porter can do now is toddle off into the sunset, where he can do as does and forget the bar and hangouts of Canberra. A by-election would be nice, it may come necessary after next weeks Senate Estimates Committee, what is not said in court can freely be said before the Senate. I'm sure nothing will shock Porter's former wives.

How about the Forums 'Usual Suspects' like shadowminister who pretend to be legal geniuses, "The ABC will have to pay our dear Christian millions," SM put the figure at up to $10 million plus, 'Cry Baby' didn't get a razoo.

As for Pell, there was not enough evidence that during five minutes of his life he raped a couple of choir boys. Pell has had a long life, which is good for him.

Shadow Minister,

All political parties have dirty laundry.

Corrupt politicians make the other ten percent
look bad.

The New Left Liberals are failing in all areas where a fight is appropriate. Education is just another area where they fail miserably.

NSW education Minister, Sarah Mitchell, nodding and agreeing on TV with all the things that are wrong in that state's schools, but refusing or unable to say what she is doing about it. The same with federal Minister Tudge: agreeing with, and lamenting with, Andrew Bolt about the proposed anti-Western, racist, identity politics, and worse, for the national curriculum; but not one word on what he intends to do about it - if anything.

I have contacted Minister Tudge, suggesting that there will be an increase in informal votes next election from erstwhile Liberal voters not wanting Labor, but fed up with the Liberals under Scott Morrison. The Liberal party has been in steady decline since John Howard. Abbott, Turnbull and now Morrison, have been absolute crap. The only thing keeping them in is Albanese Labor. If Albanese could be replaced by Fitzgibbon, Labor could give the Liberals the chance to retire to opposition, where they could get a decent leader and straighten themselves out by returning to their roots and again become what they are NOT now - an alternative to socialism.
