After Christian Porter's strange announcement last night on television, there is no doubt that the Liberals have lost the will to fight. With no support at all from the Prime Minister - under the bus he goes, just like the ADF, some of whom were declared guilty without trial - the cloud remains over Porter's head. The ABC gets off with a mumbled 'regret' and, as with George Pell, the usual suspects will remain convinced of some wrongdoing by Porter. At least Pell was cleared by the High Court because he and his supporters knew he was innocent. Porter is doomed.

Trials are expensive and Christian Porter was
looking down the barrel of a long and very expensive litigation with the risk of utterly destroying his reputation. In addition, his attempts to strike out the most interesting parts of the ABC's defence with the added risk of their becoming public very soon and the loss of Porter's preferred senior counsel who was removed from the case by the Federal Court because of a conflict of interest all may have helped Porter make his decision to drop the case. As Cardinal Pell learned the hard way after being retired from any position in Rome - mud does stick. As for the Liberals losing the will to fight? Scott Morrison according to the latest Newspoll is still the preferred Prime Minister over Anthony Albanese and the support for the Coalition remains steady. Of course things may change as we get closer to the election - and what the government continues to do with the pandemic. Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 2 June 2021 11:08:45 AM

'Cry Baby' Porter, didn't want his dirty linen aired in public, and some say he has enough dirty linen to fill a laundromat! No doubt Porters "reputation" had reached the ears of the PM, who does to some degree have a moral compass. The mistake Turnbull made with Porter was to take him at his word when he questioned him about philandering around the fleshpots of Canberra. Turnbull should have sent Porter packing instead of making him AG, what a mistake that was! For Morrison the best thing Porter can do now is toddle off into the sunset, where he can do as does and forget the bar and hangouts of Canberra. A by-election would be nice, it may come necessary after next weeks Senate Estimates Committee, what is not said in court can freely be said before the Senate. I'm sure nothing will shock Porter's former wives.
How about the Forums 'Usual Suspects' like shadowminister who pretend to be legal geniuses, "The ABC will have to pay our dear Christian millions," SM put the figure at up to $10 million plus, 'Cry Baby' didn't get a razoo. As for Pell, there was not enough evidence that during five minutes of his life he raped a couple of choir boys. Pell has had a long life, which is good for him. Pauliar,
The greens have so much dirty laundry that you have to try and deflect. 2 convicted pedogreens and one pedogreen councillor on charges of theft, assault etc. There is a conga line of pedogreens going to jail. Posted by shadowminister, Thursday, 3 June 2021 7:49:46 AM

Shadow Minister,
All political parties have dirty laundry. Corrupt politicians make the other ten percent look bad. Posted by Foxy, Thursday, 3 June 2021 8:08:14 AM

The New Left Liberals are failing in all areas where a fight is appropriate. Education is just another area where they fail miserably.
NSW education Minister, Sarah Mitchell, nodding and agreeing on TV with all the things that are wrong in that state's schools, but refusing or unable to say what she is doing about it. The same with federal Minister Tudge: agreeing with, and lamenting with, Andrew Bolt about the proposed anti-Western, racist, identity politics, and worse, for the national curriculum; but not one word on what he intends to do about it - if anything. I have contacted Minister Tudge, suggesting that there will be an increase in informal votes next election from erstwhile Liberal voters not wanting Labor, but fed up with the Liberals under Scott Morrison. The Liberal party has been in steady decline since John Howard. Abbott, Turnbull and now Morrison, have been absolute crap. The only thing keeping them in is Albanese Labor. If Albanese could be replaced by Fitzgibbon, Labor could give the Liberals the chance to retire to opposition, where they could get a decent leader and straighten themselves out by returning to their roots and again become what they are NOT now - an alternative to socialism. Of course, the main problem with the Liberal party sits at the top.
Morrison has been described as "the ultimate pragmatist with strong religious but few apparent political beliefs". Having abandoned the principles of fiscal responsibility and limited government, he has retreated from the cultural sphere. Occasional right noises aside, "the long march through the institutions continues under the government’s nose, producing ideological embarrassments like the woke school curriculum and “all men are bastards” forays into gender policy." Thanks to a hopeless Opposition, Australia's march to the equivalent of a one party state moves steadily on. Posted by ttbn, Thursday, 3 June 2021 8:51:17 AM

Foxy,
No one is completely virtuous, but the pedogreens' laundry is far from just dirty. For such a small party the scale of the crimes committed by their representatives is extreme. Pauliar is a typical representative of this bigotted and mendacious tendency in the pedogreens. He lies as he breathes. Pauliar, Perhaps you could show where I claimed that the ABC would pay porter $10m. You can't. Posted by shadowminister, Thursday, 3 June 2021 12:12:40 PM

Quoting shonkyminister;
<<the damages (for Porter) will likely reach several $m with costs > $10m. The ABC will need to make a grovelling apology and fire another 100 employees to pay for it.>> shonkyminister you have been just as wrong about you pin up boy 'Cry Baby' Porter as you were with your claim several years ago about an imminent arrest in the 'Beat Up' Bolt fiasco! I did refer to you once as the Rumplole of the Forum, I was wrong, you are the Forums answer to Dennis Denuto; This could be shonky preparing the "evidence" for 'Cry Baby', warning it does contain the "F" word several times, 5 in 13 seconds; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEp3Ig3isxc&ab_channel=thecomputerdude24TV%26MovieClips Unlike the Coalition there is no conga line of Greens MP's heading towards Alcatraz! Shadow Minister,
I'm curious as to why you feel the need to try to put down the Green political Party. In what way do you think - does your behaviour improve the image of the Coalition? Posted by Foxy, Thursday, 3 June 2021 1:04:37 PM

Pauliar,
Thanks for posting what I said which shows that you were lying. As I said before the total costs of a court case for the ABC would be about $10. That is not the same as damages paid to Porter. Idiot. Secondly, you are compounding this lie with a second in that I never claimed the arrest of the Antifa thug was imminent. Liar. Earlier I wondered whether you were a sociopathic liar or just brain damaged. After shooting yourself in the door in your last post I believe that you are incurably stupid. As Shadow Minister says, the Greens punch well over their weight when it comes to grot and sleaze. Even in my despair of the Liberals behaviour of late, I thank all that is holy that the Greens can get only 8% of the very silliest Australians to vote for them.

Shonky Dennis,
Where is the $10 million, where is the grovelling apology, where is the 100 sacked ABC employees? Nowhere to be seen, are you claiming you didn't make that statement. There was no arrest in the 'Beat Up' Bolt case as its possible Bolt beat himself up! You are always beating yourself up on the Forum, why not Bolt. Hi Foxy, shonky gets off on mentioning the "P" word, he mentions it often enough, it might make him feel all warm and fuzzy. Its water off a ducks back as far as I am concerned. I believe GY has warned him not to direct it personally at other posters, like me. Just to fill you in on that land grab, I mentioned the other day on another thread. The latest from the pakeha council is they are the best qualified people to manage land conservation up north. What a joke, Northland Council itself has done more that most, along with approvals it has signed off on, to cause environmental degradation than any Maori ever did. Some of this land in question is sacred, old urupa's (cemeteries) where ancestors (before the arrival of the European) are located, old sites of the Pa's (forts) of great chiefs. Only some Maori know where these sacred locations are. Gee, this is like Attila The Hun, claiming he was a civil libertarian. Posted by Paul1405, Thursday, 3 June 2021 4:28:54 PM

Pauliar, Still the sociopathic liar I see.
How are the pedogreens now that 2 of your lot are jailed for paedophilia and one is going to jail for bigoted assault theft and other charges? Were you beaten up by your token female Muslim? I believe that you were the first one warned about accusing people of paedophilia. Posted by shadowminister, Friday, 4 June 2021 5:08:42 AM

Foxy,
Other than the resident idiot Pauliar, above, I believe that most politicians are well-intentioned. The problem with the greens is that most of them are zealots, and as with most zealots they are so sure of the rightness of their cause that they don't give a crap about the consequences to anyone else. They don't seem to feel that the general laws of decency apply to them either while sanctimoniously lecturing everyone else. Posted by shadowminister, Friday, 4 June 2021 5:11:14 AM

shonkyminister,
You wouldn't know a Greens MP if you fell over one. The only zealot around here is the righteous bag of wind who claims all sorts of legal knowledge, such as 'Cry Baby' Porter is in for millions! What a looser! What individuals do is up to them, and they should be accountable for their mischievous actions, some go to jail, others go to the big rewards room in Parliament House. Hi Foxy,
Over the past 50 years I have met many politicians from all parties, from PM's, Premiers and MP's to local councillors, and many who would be if they could be, but lost the race, and gave up. And of course the party faithful who turn out time and again to support their convictions, never aspiring to office, but trying to get someone else elected. Many of us talk a lot, but only a very small percentage are willing to actually do something active, and say "I want to make a difference", such people are from all sides of the political divide, Liberal thinking, Greens, Labor people, and others. In all my years I can say I have met very few "nutters" on the job, and the vast majority of political people are ordinary folk. I briefly met Billy McMahon, nice chap, I told him my politics, opposite his, he said "stick with what you believe in son, etc etc" he could have been my uncle Billy. Bob Hawke the least favorited of the 4 PM's I've met, GW and MF being the other two. Hawke I found to be overbearing and abrasive. the other two week okay blokes. Dear Paul,
I've also met a few politicians from both sides of politics. I found Kevin Andrews rather odd. He's always surrounded by carers and seems scared of his constituents. Hard man to approach. Yet, Josh Frydenberg 's a sweetie, very easy-going. And he actually listens. Kelly O'Dwyer - was lovely. Jeff Kennett had not done his homework when he came to the Lithuanian Club in Melbourne. People were insulted by his speech. He was totally unprepared. And out of his depth. Perhaps he was having a bad day. I guess personal contacts do make a difference. Impressions are important after all. Posted by Foxy, Friday, 4 June 2021 8:18:17 AM

Victorian MP, Tim Smith, has rightly accused the Victorian government of using inflammatory language” to terrify people about the WuFlu as they continue bungling and extending their pointless lockdown.
However, what Smith’s Liberals in Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland have to come to terms with is that, as oppositions they have been hopeless: AWOL; dead losses because of their gutlessness through their inability to take the fight to the three governments. Prissy cowards is the only way to describe them. Posted by ttbn, Saturday, 5 June 2021 12:14:22 PM

It is worrying in Victorian that the number of cases

The Libs need to stop picking these Trumpian or sociocultural wars with society, education sector, media or ABC, younger generations etc. and learn how to develop broad based branch memberships, develop grounded policies and not be kicked round by NewsCorp and 9Fairfax especially.
Maybe attractive to rusted on older voters and/or insiders but not for many diverse citizens, younger or women; Victoria the former 'Liberal jewel in the crown' is a case in point now seemingly becoming unelectable (not helped by tirades from SkyAD or NewsCorp). Foxy, Pauliar,
The ABC article can be compared with this article from Cairnsnews.org https://cairnsnews.org/2021/06/07/premier-dan-andrews-can-end-the-assault-speculation-now/ "OFFICIAL: The person who bashed Daniel Andrews (and good on him for doing so) is Luke Sayers. Luke is a former CEO of Price Waterhouse Coopers. Andrews got beaten up for a sexual assault on Luke’s daughter’s friend while at a high flyers party at the Portsea (Mornington Peninsula Victoria) mansion of Lyndsay Fox. Andrews is currently in hiding in his parent’s farm in Mansfield. (Country Victoria). His wife Kath has left him, his kids dont want to know him. The State and Federal Labor Party will go into meltdown real soon when they are accused at both levels of politics for trying to conceal the truth. They knew about this but didn’t want to get rid of the “Favourite Son Of The Left”. Here comes an early election when the Governor dissolves both the upper and lower houses of parliament. The Labor Party are now in a position where they cannot govern with the confidence of the state.” This article Like the ABC article is extremely defamatory as it has no evidence that will stand up in court and the publisher can be sued for a substantial sum Posted by shadowminister, Tuesday, 8 June 2021 11:42:21 AM

'The Age last month revealed the family of trucking magnate Lindsay Fox had sought legal advice over whether to sue an obscure Queensland website that posted rumours implicating the wealthy family in the Premier’s fall.'

shonkyminister, being the legal guru you claim to be are you aware that by posting the above it can get you, and OLO's Graham Young, into all sorts of trouble in the forum of a DEFORMATION SUIT if its untrue. If its published by someone else, in this case some trashy website, and you publically reproduce it you are libel just as they are.

Pauliar,
You are too dumbarsed stupid to understand anything about the law. My disclaimer has obviated any chance of being sued. Though there is some hope that you might grasp that repeating uncritically allegations is also defamation. Posted by shadowminister, Wednesday, 9 June 2021 3:12:42 PM

shonkyminister, your intention by posting the above is to defame Dan Andrews. This can be established by referencing previous posts which show you have a pathological hatred of the Labor Party, and Andrews.

You are really an intellectual pygmy. If I had intended to defame pandemic Dan I would not have included in my post: "This article Like the ABC article is extremely defamatory as it has no evidence that will stand up in court and the publisher can be sued for a substantial sum" If you want everyone to know that you are an idiot, please feel free to pursue this.
