It is necessary to point out that Islam is not a race.
Therefore to attack Islam is not racist.
Islamophobia is a construct of the Moslem Brotherhood and is used to
prevent criticism of Islam and is supported by the UN. So it is anti free speech.
Any who advocate Jihad must be considered to be Terrorists or at least
supporters of terrorism.

I never heard if the Christchurch terrorist, and he must be considered so,
was linked to a white supremacist group. Was he ?
However the Jihad proponents are supported not just theoretically but
by technical and monetary support by foreign governments and probably
by local moslems or groups.
At present outside of Australia left wing and right wing groups seem
to have merged, and I wonder if it has happened here yet ?

As far as Antisemitism is concerned a lot of the protestors you see
on TV are just protesters that follow this weeks demo cause.
However the genuine ones are just following the Palestinian line
without really looking into what it is all about, Hitler was right etc.

Hate speech laws are extremely dangerous to a democracy.
The UK has such laws; A Christian street preacher as arrested and
charged and convicted of hate speech because he was reading from the bible.
The complaint to the police was made by a moslem.
I agree that incitement to violence should be a crime, but it would
mean that to publish or sell the Koran would leave you open to a charge.

ASIO is just one spoke in the wheel of covert intelligence gathering entities that advise the PM on security matters. I've been out of it for a time now, but when I was involved, we employed several intel groups to aid in interdicting criminal (terrorist) activities. In fact, there are several inmates in the Super-Max section of Goulburn Gaol who're considered highly dangerous and a direct threat to the interests and population of this country.

Besides ASIO who deal with internal matters, we have ASIS (Australian Secret Intelligence Service) who confine their activities outside our borders. We have ONA (Office of National Assessment), which provide Intel. and analytical advice to the PM's Department. Then there's PSCC (Protective Security Co-Ordination Centre) and SAC PAV (State Co-Opereration For Protection Against Violence). The existence of the last two agencies are not widely known, but nonetheless are in the public domain. Another group that's part of the AMF, 'The Australian Signals Directorate', possesses powerful Intelligence gathering facilities that disseminate intel. and related data to the other agencies listed above.

All of those agencies mentioned herein have essentially the same goal - The prevention of terrorism. There's a cooperative mechanism between all State and Federal Police, Border Protection, the AMF, and other government departments. The European Union, GB, the USA and members of ANZUS all share intel. To a greater or lesser degree. I hope this throws some additional light on the topic.

Thank you for providing me with that info, Pete. I've been out of the loop for quite a time, but back in the day, the early 1980s, I had quite a bit to do with SAC PAV and PSCC as a police member, as our Division was charged with an armed assault response for all terrorist incidences in concert with our friends in the West, the SAS.
