shadowminister,

Obama vastly outstripped Trump in terms of missiles to Taiwan and over all spend. George W Bush out did the both of them. Trumps's efforts were certainly not extraordinary.

SR,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_US_arms_sales_to_Taiwan

Firstly I was talking about Biden's virtue signalling, and secondly, from Wiki, Trump's sales in 4 years roughly equalled Obama's in 8.

The positioning of Chinese Embassies does seem to point towards their aspirations. The Second Cold War is heating up. This is a test for Australia that perhaps sadly we will fail... it's surprising that such a strong independent self assured people after a few generations of spoiled children would come to such a fate.

While Communist China is definitely our enemy, and looking more like the Nazi Germany of the 1930s (only even more aggressive and belligerent) every day, whose fault is it that they are buying up or leasing our territory more and more? Easy: the Morrison government, which said it was going to look more closely at CCP "investments" in Australia but has done bugger-all; Australian businesses and agricultural companies and, last but not least, average Australians who are still buying Chinese rubbish because it is cheap.

The Chinese Communist Party, our mortal enemy, could not be doing what they are doing without the capitulation of AUSTRALIANS. And,let's not have anymore of this claptrap about worse things would be under a Labor government. All Australian politicians are the same, and stupid bloody Australians keep voting for them.

I get the impression that state labor leaders are ignoring the advise of ASIO. Yes the economic liberal free traders are complicit with China- cite Andrew (Twiggy) (doesn't care about the) Forest. But at least they don't support Chinese ideology. The money is just too much to ignore for the economic liberals.

Joke- how do you hypnotize an economic liberal? "show them the money".

To ttbn - Marshmallow's background is interesting- he doesn't seem to have the same background as other Liberals in SA- not to put too fine a point on it. So he's a bit of an outsider. I think that other Liberals need to bring him into the fold. SA has had a fairly good history of producing Premiers that serve the SA people well- in comparison to the travesty of other states.

Foxy On Dutton- I agree that Dutton is doing a great job in Home Affairs. I think he is from the Traditional wing of the Liberal party (as opposed to the dominant Economic Liberal Wing) and hence would serve British Australian people well as Prime Minister.
