I wonder what they get in "benefits" on top of that ! Is it any wonder the Australian manufacturing industry is virtually non-existent ?
What these Union bosses get paid officially is still peanuts in comparison to Govt Bureaucrats who get paid by our tax Dollars.

As long as gullible workers keep signing up to corrupt and largely useless unions, the "union heavies" will continue to do what they have always done. Given that fewer workers belong to unions these days, the gullible ones are certainly contributing a lot to the people ripping them off. Being ripped off by unions is no different from being ripped off by Nigerian tricksters on the 'phone, or any of the other scams losers are always running to A Current Affair with.

You don't have to do it. You don't have to pay up or join up. You will not get any sympathy for your own foolishness.

Yes, it does. And whose fault is that? There is no compulsion to join a union, and we do have a system of industrial law to protect workers from unscrupulous employers. Workers can protect themselves from unscrupulous unions by not joining them. I believe that a majority of workers are now doing just that.
