What sort of Australian are you talking about.

We have Bogan Australians, Chinese Australians, Italian Australians, Italian Australians, Indian Australians, etc., etc.

What type are you?

Mr O, I am a proud ITALIAN AUSTRALIAN!
As I've attempted to convince many, many times before, if your parents are Italian, then you are Italian of blood, but Australian by birth, and by law.
So even though your blood is pure, un-adulterated Italian, your passport says you are Australian.
So according to certain media, I am an Australian born Italian.
Go figure?
It makes sense so whether I like it or not, I am Italian first and foremost.
As for those of mixed blood, if they are born here, it is not possible to highlight one race over the other because they both rate equally, they are therefore, if only by birth, can only and should only, be referred to as, Australian.
Their blood is neither one nor the other!
If you remember I have expounded on this previously, and to that end, we were talking about aboriginality.
In this case, if one parent is black and the other is not, but because the child is born in Australia, they are Australian, and not aborigine, as so many wannabee's are attempting to con their way into the benefits allocated to the blacks.
As is the similar case with those claiming to be black, who had a black ancestor, somewhere in the distant past, too distant to even have any knowledge of them, yet insist on being recognised as black.
So much for respecting the other races in their bloodline along the journey that got them here today.
Bloody shameful and disrespectful.
But I suppose that's just another couple of words that sum up these, so called, wannabee Aussies of today!

This hyphenated-Australian business must stop. Born here or naturalised, we are all Australians who need to stick together against the political class if we are to retain democracy and avoid one-party politics. Keeping people in different groups is the politicians' idea; we should be rejecting it.

I like being a hyphenated-person.

For myself, I am a Bogan-Australian which is what a lot of people would also call an Australian-Australian.

Today Paul Collits sums up the politicians ruining the country in “Ode to Margaret”: they

“ …. seem now to think that one of their job requirements is to insult their citizens. They know not how to shut up. They think their views are important, interesting, relevant. They are not. Not able to govern even moderately competently, they resort to abuse and invective in an effort to score points with a media and ruling elite only too ready to put the boot into Australians with whom they disagree”.
