plantagenet,
You haven't listed The Night Of The Hunter (1955). This is my favourite movie and is regarded by some as the best movie ever made. Posted by Mr Opinion, Saturday, 23 January 2021 5:06:58 PM

Hi Pete,
Some favourites there, The good the Bad and the Ugly, anything Clint Eastwood, 'High Plains Drifter' my number 1 Eastwood cowboy. Loved the spaghetti westerns, 'Trinity' movies with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. 'Empire of the Sun' top movie, (anti) war movies 'Apocalypse Now' and 'All Quiet on the Western Front' the later version with Richard Thomas and Ernest Borgnine. Paul Newman in 'Cool Hand Luke'. Love Aussie movies, most recent 'Last Cab to Darwin' want to see 'High Ground' when it comes out. A good Aussie movie from the 70's 'Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith'. Like Russell Crowe movies from early stuff to recent, 'Romper Stomper' and I liked 'The Water Diviner'. Posted by Paul1405, Saturday, 23 January 2021 8:28:18 PM

ttbn, might be good news for you. The Fuhrer is thinking of starting his own political party, "The Patriot Party" a far right wacko mob, right up your ally, having experienced a crazy rightwing party in Australia, Corny Banana and the "Australian Conservatives" you will fit right in, along with a few other here. Think of it, rallies, torch light processions, snappy uniform, listing to long going on forever speeches from the Fuhrer, flag waving and patriotic songs, a snazzy symbol to identify with. Wow you'll love it!

Hi Mopy
I haven't seen much of "The Night Of The Hunter (1955)" I just remember one scene where Reverend Powell - a self-appointed preacher and serial killer - in his dog collar, breaks the neck of a slighly horny female parishioner http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Night_of_the_Hunter_(film) . Hi Paul
Yeah Eastwood's (starred in, directed, or produced): Good the Bad and the Ugly, Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Dirty Harry series. Flags of Our Fathers Letters from Iwo Jima, and Gran Torino were all top movies. ___________ I was lucky enough to see anti-war The Deer Hunter and 'Apocalypse Now' on first release when I was underage. Even though they were R-rated Dad just brough me and my 11 year-old brother along. When ushers/ticket sellers questioned our presence, Dad (in his commanding Colonel visage) vouched that we, his 11 and 13 year-old sons, were over 18. 'Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith' good, though violent. Never saw 'Romper Stomper' but liked Crowe in 'Master and Commander' and even more so 'Gladiator' (nothing like catapulted Napalm shots against Visigoths in the Morning :) Posted by plantagenet, Sunday, 24 January 2021 10:47:56 AM

And who can forget the deep nepotism of Trump. His daughter standing in for the Secretary of State on one occasion for God's sake.
