I enjoyed hearing this morning that Trump actually 'kept more promises than he made', and that Biden will just be a 'third term of Obama' - a puppet 'having his strings pulled by the radical left,'.

ttbn is firing on all fours! Everything from cricket to Commo's.

In 1868, a cricket team composed of Aboriginal Australians toured England between May and October of that year, thus becoming the first organised group of Australian sportspeople to travel overseas. It would be another ten years before an Australian cricket team classed as representative would leave the country. ttbn what have you got planned for this Invasion Day? A Cricket test between an Aboriginal team and the Chinese.

Chinese invader to dinky-di Aussie.

Good Day A-U-S-S-I-E dingo M-A-T-E!... how you dim-sum hangn'...got any sheila up the duff?......which way me go to D-I-D-G-E-R-I-D-O-O?

Mr O, would it not be better and cost effective to teach 25 million Australians Cantonese, rather than trying to teach 1.4 billion Chinese English? Gladys Liu should run that past Scum̉' at the banquet table down at the 'Golden Dragon' I'm sure she will have a Chinese businessman at the nosh-up who can arrange that small thing for a sizable fee, say a billion or two.

This link should help; http://www.cantoneseclass101.com/blog/2019/01/12/how-to-say-hello-in-cantonese/#:~:text=%E5%93%88%E5%9B%89%20is%20%E2%80%9Chello%E2%80%9D%20with,reply%20by%20repeating%20%E5%93%88%E5%9B%89.

Hi Paul,

Yes, Aboriginal people here often responded extremely quickly to the new opportunities and new types of activities. A Cricket team in 1868 - barely 35 years after First Contact, and within two generations.

But there was a cost: shifting from foraging - hunting, fishing and gathering - to a 'modern' economy and society meant the fading away of the application of traditions - and eventually knowledge - and use of linguistic terms which related to one way of life, in exchange for another way of life.

Down this way, the last person to speak the Ngarrindjeri language here around the lower Lakes and Murray River, was born in about 1880 (and even he wasn't actually Ngarrindjeri), barely two generations after First Contact. Even David Unaipon, the bloke on the $ 50 note, born in 1972, a 'full-blood', couldn't - or perhaps simply didn't (which in a way is more revealing) - speak the full language.

Culture lives if it is used, and lived, not simply known of. If it isn't, but becomes merely a memory in the next generation, then it is in grave danger of disappearing in the next one again, i.e. within fifty years. Biculturalism is an extremely fragile flower, perhaps sometimes impossible.

Joe

ttbn, can we count on you to front up to the protest rally next Tuesday. Here in Brisbane, got 5,000 interested on Facebook. Covid safe event, bring your face mask and hand sanitizer, if you have flu like symptoms stay at home. You can ware your "I LOVE DONALD TRUMP" tee shirt, the one with the Confederate flag on the back.

Joe Biden's team, first day on the job, tried to find Trump's "Covid-19 Vaccine Roll Out Plan" so they can speed things up. Shock! The Trump Administration had not developed any such plan, nothing, zilch, no plan what so ever. Shows what Trump thought of his fellow Americans. Hitler at the end of WWII said the German people were getting then, what they deserved for being so weak. Trump must have been thinking something the same.
