The World Economic Forum (an unelected NGO) has been around for 50 years. Now, with the incompetence of the political class world-wide, it is flexing its muscles quite openly via online texts, videos and speeches by its 82 year old founder, Klaus Schwab. The WEF means to rule the world, with the help of a few countries and a few people. America and Western values with be hard pressed. Free markets and individual choice will be out; state intervention and collectivism will be in. There will be no individual liberties or private property by 2030. People will have to rent and borrow necessities from the state, which will be the sole proprietor of all goods.

Every personal move will be tracked electronically. Food will be mainly vegetarian. The government will provide basic accommodation, food and transport, and the rest will be on loan.

Natural resources use will be reduced to a minimum. A global agency will set the price of CO2 emissions at a high level.

If the WEF is allowed to get away with it - and there are seemingly well-meaning people who think they should - the 8 main objectives will be:

People will own nothing. Goods are either free or must be lent by the state.
The US will no longer be the leading power: a handful of countries will dominate.
Organs will be printed, not transplanted.
Meat consumption will be minimised.
Massive displacement of people will occur with billions of refugees.
To limit CO2 emissions, a global price will be set at a very high level.
People will be able to choose to go to Mars for a new life.
Western values will be tested to breaking point.

And there will be a universal basic income, a cashless society, with all transactions registered so that the government can monitor how we spend.

When Prince Charles rabbits on about a "unique opportunity" for change thanks to climate change and the China virus, this is what he means. But not for himself, of course.

What a life: having no possessions, every movement monitored, eating only what is supplied by the authorities, electronic chips embedded to prevent escape, being milked twice a day, then slaughtered for my meat once my milk runs out.

Wake up mate, rub your eyes, wash your face, it is morning, this was only a nightmare, the WEF holds no power in our waking state, but then... if you do this to others, no wonder it comes back to you in your dreams.

Moooooooo.

It's no dream. It's all been said. There's more to come at Lausanne next year. It would have come out of Davos this year had it not been for the China virus.

As for WEF having no power, it is the the hugely wealthy technocrats and big business attendees who pay up to $100k to attend and hear Herr Shcwarb who have the power. Politicians can attend free of charge because it is they who are powerless. It will be interesting to see see if the headless chooks in Canberra send anyone. They are already prepared to let big business make decisions for them - as with Qantas and compulsory China virus vaccination. They might be happy to hand over responsibility to a global Big Brother if the bribes are good enough.

ttbn,
If, as you say, "it is the the hugely wealthy technocrats and big business attendees who pay up to $100k to attend and hear Herr Shcwarb who have the power" then why do you imagine they'll give up property rights? Even if they had the political power to (which they don't) surely they wouldn't have the political inclination to do so?

As for the rest of your list:
>The US will no longer be the leading power: a handful of countries will dominate.
That's nothing to do with the WEF: it's just the result of political and economic incompetence in the USA throughout the 21st century.

>Organs will be printed, not transplanted.
That's a foreseeable technological improvement, but they'd still need transplanting after printing.

>Meat consumption will be minimised.
As fake meat gets better and cheaper, this too is likely.

>Massive displacement of people will occur with billions of refugees.
Would that be the result of war? Despots? Or climate change?

>To limit CO2 emissions, a global price will be set at a very high level.
The more we do sooner, the less need there is for the huge rapid cuts which would require a very high CO2 price.

>People will be able to choose to go to Mars for a new life.
Eventually I expect they will, but it's probably centuries away.

>Western values will be tested to breaking point.
Many people say they already are. But there's really no agreement on what "western values" are, let alone what their breaking point would be.

Oh well, it seems that they now understand that wind, solar and
batteries won't supply the demand so this is how they reduce demand.

Simple isn't it ?
The odd thing is I think they are serious !

Researchers cite lithium and cobalt production as the most likely to fall short of expected demand levels in the next few years, if EV take-up grows as desired or mandated by many political leaders. In short, new discoveries of supplies will be required if present battery technology is to be maintained. Failing that, ‘net zero’ may need a plan B.

In a new report, Chengjian Xu, Bernhard Steubing and a research team at the Leiden University, Netherlands and the Argonne National Laboratory in the U.S. showed how the demands of a lithium, nickel, cobalt and manganese oxide dominated battery will increase by many factors between 2020 to 2050.

As a result, supply chains for lithium, cobalt and nickel will require significant expansion and likely additional resource discovery.

Of course governments may make access to petroleum based fuels difficult at the same time. If these elites succeed in removing personal transport from the masses, as Louie the fly from the animated Mortein pest spray add says, the party may be over.
