Hi Joe,

Excellent idea of the mute button and the glass bubble.
That would not be a difficult thing to arrange and in
Trump's case it's the only way to stop his unrelenting
and rude behaviour.

Voters should be able to hear the
discussion of issues from both candidates. And not allow
one candidate to continually blare and interrupt the other,
shred the official debate rules and continue to hurl insults
and put-downs.

It ceases to be interesting and becomes simply depressing
and shameful behaviour showing the person to be unfit
for any office - a person who has shed any pretense of
decorum and civilized behaviour. Behaving like a bully and
a thug.

If this behaviour is not controlled at the next debates -
Biden should simply walk off and refuse to be a part of it.

individual,

Sorry, you're barking up the wrong tree because I have already demonstrated that I am not a pseudo-intellectual like you :-)

Foxy,

You reckon that "Biden should simply walk off and refuse to be a part of it."

I find that an amazing comment coming from someone who is an intellectual (having a BA and MA) and has lived and worked extensively in the US.

That would be the worse thing Biden could do.

I think you need to brush up on your American sociology and political culture. Try re-reading de Tocqueville for starters.

Mr Opinion,
Yeah ? But at the same time you don't mind using the phrase pseudo-intellectual having been coined by one ?

Mr O,

I believe that the Presidential debating system is now
going to be overhauled after last night's debacle.

This debate told us everything about America:
a broken, divided, angry society.
