Phil,

I can read you like a book.

You turn your back on the truth when it comes to what dishonest and untrustworthy politicians, bureaucrats and business people do because all you care about is how much money and prestige you can get from the misery of others.

I reckon they should have given the role of Daniel Plainview in 'There Will Be Blood' to you instead of Daniel Day-Lewis. You would have picked up an Oscar for being what you are.

Nothing gets up the nose of a crusty old conservative like a bit of humour. I bet back in the day, Hassy was an Old Joh backer, dutifully marching along with the 'Joh for PM' mob, oblivious to the corrupt activity going on in his precious state of Queensland being perpertrated by the criminals Bjelke-Petersen, Russ Hinze etc. The funny thing was the gullible like Hassy were talking it up the rear end and didn't know it. The LNP in Queensland cannot be trusted with government, as soon as they get into office they are looking for ways to line their own pockets, and feather their own nests.

Dear Paul and Steelie,

I guess I don't really know that much about NSW
State politics - therefore I can't really comment
on it, it's been years since I lived in Sydney
and it's probably changed a great deal from those
"good old days".

When the lockdown finally ends in Victoria we
hope to make a trip driving to Sydney and visiting
my old stomping ground (including Rookwood Cemetery
where my family is buried) then onto the Hunter
Valley - Maitland, Scheville, Greta, Cessnock et cetera.

Paul1405,

And you will probably find that Phil even has a picture of himself with Sir Terence Lewis sitting on his mantle. Mates to the end!

Dead wrong Paul. I was never very political, but apart from approving old Joh's introduction of free hospitals long before other states of any jurisdiction, I was pretty anti Joh. I was all for the libs attempt to bring him down to earth, & very sorry to see it actually give him power in his own right.

It was only after he was gone, & I watched a procession of totally useless premiers of both persuasions that I slowly came to realise what a great job he had done for Queensland & Queenslanders.

I know it would irk lefties, who have never seen a single dollar of other peoples money with out wanting to spend it, but he brought a discipline to public spending unequaled by any other leader, state or national, in my lifetime. Fully funded public servants super was one hollow log, rapidly emptied by the frivolous Labor that followed..

Still I don't expect any of you lot, with a cast iron patch permanently covering one eye to ever admit how good he was for HIS state.

Come on Phil. Don't come the raw prawn with us. You're a Joh man through and through.

No one's asking you to rat on the LNP but just at least try being truthful for once.
