Hi Foxy,

If your not too familiar with NSW State politics, then Barilaro might be an unknown to you. The bloke has a "reputation" if you know what I mean. I recall when he took over the leadership of the Nats in 2016, a Liberal Party long time member, and friend, his only comment to me was; "The Nats might be sorry, they made that choice." Maybe its Barilaro's Joh Bjelke Petersen style of party leadership that brings him so much criticism. Recently he tried to hold a gun to Berejiklian's head and tried to blackmail Gladys over his koala killing idea. Gladys had, had enough of him and that was the last straw. The Federal Nats blocked his attempt to run for a federal seat at the Eden-Monaro by-election, McCormack is obviously no friend. Nats MP Leslie Williams resigned the party and joined the Liberal over Barilaro and the koala killing idea. At the last state election the Nats were shot to pieces by the Shooters and Hooters party. A lot of the blame for that disastrous result was laid at the feet of Bonkers Barrals. Things are heating up for the bloke, so what does he do, he pulls a mentally and goes, I assume, to the nut house, if he did, its a good place for him, he needs the help.

Thanks Steele I watched the YouTude, good value.

Hasbeen

I think you should do the character justice by watching the complete video. And maybe you did, but judging by your reaction, it seems hard to believe anyone disliking its succinct content, irrespective of the theatrics.

How much is a vote worth in dollar terms? A used car salesman in the modern day, would not escape as did Barilaros’ slush funding escapades.
Shanks did a great job.

Maybe he’s popular for the same reasons as another famous satirist from the past, Norman Gunston. (Garry McDonald). Famous for taking the “ Mickey” out of the untouchables of politics.
There is definitely an increasing need for satire directed towards modern day Politicians.

Good idea Gladys. Quarantine him a mental health facility for a month until the heat is off.

You are right Dan, I lasted about 2 minutes.

Nothing, even your recommendation, could make watch any more of such a conceited twists self admiration session.

MrOpinion.

Your possibly right in your assumption. And here I was taking the naive view what was before my eyes was genuine.
Your conclusion makes admirable sense.

No doubt about those slippery grubs, there’s no end to it!

Dear Diver Dan,

I'm old school Australian Democrat in my outlook and Shank's certainly keeping the bastards honest. That he isn't as critical of the other side is a given but he isn't anywhere near as partisan as an Alan Jones or Sky News.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it was a pretty masterful take down that has managed to get a lot of traction.

It will be interesting to see if he gets sued for it. Clive Palmer is currently suing him but Clive sues everyone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmJ7CSRRCDM

Michael West's critique is worth reading. It kind of flags people like Hasbeen who are far more concerned about the messenger than the deep corruption the message exposes. But he isn't alone as this has been the focus of much of the mainstream media.

I did like your Norman Gunston comparison.

Dear Foxy,

I understand if it isn't for you. He can come across as a nerdy git and he is certainly a fanboy for Labor, but even so his interview with Kevin Rudd was informative while being good fun. Two nerds bouncing off each other.
