On 2 September 2020 http://lincolnproject.us/news/pow/ "Following the announcement of a Veteran and Military Community Coalition earlier this week, today The Lincoln Project released a new ad, “POW”, spotlighting the horrors American prisoners of war have experienced and recognizing them as the heroes they are. The ad [here http://youtu.be/c_6MGxvSaAY ] also admonishes Trump for the HORRIFIC comments he made about the late Senator John McCain’s military service and experience as a prisoner of war. “President Trump DODGED serving in Vietnam, who since even before becoming president has degraded war heroes and has allowed Russia to put a bounty on the heads of our brave service men and women,” said Fred Wellman, The Lincoln Project’s Senior Advisor for Veteran’s Affairs. “He [TRUMP] is a disgrace to the office and unworthy of the title Commander in Chief. We are sending this ad to every Republican Senator and Congressman with a letter asking if they stand with our brave POW’s or Donald Trump. Our soldiers deserve to know who has their backs. It’s not Donald Trump.” See what patriotic REPUBLICANS think of TRUMP again at Youtube http://youtu.be/c_6MGxvSaAY 44 seconds into that Youtube see TRUMP's ugly face, spouting his I'm-too-rich-to-care comments... TRUMP just doesn't get patriotism or sacrifice... Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 10 September 2020 1:44:50 AM

Of course the missing element, or the lie to the argument , is buried in what is not told of the story.
Let’s use our own history as evidence. Even if Uncle Donald was quoted correctly calling the war dead suckers; the term does fit remarkably accurately. Isn’t that after all, how we in Australia considered our Vietnam war recruits; suckers. And they sure were. Sucked into a badly thought out war on the Asian mainland, bordered with China. Proved from the get go the “unwinnable war”. WW1 was another which proved itself fuelled by suckers as it turned out. WW2 was less so, but suckers there were a plenty recruited. Those not considered suckers were those exempted from active service by Government protection of man power for essential industry. And this is an example of turning one group of society into suckers, (same meaning, different word, cannon fodder), farmers sons given exemptions, {if they so chose}, to stay on the farm, while the farm workers were mandated to enlist. Suckers is a crude term, but it fits too often. Dan Posted by diver dan, Thursday, 10 September 2020 10:11:31 AM

Plantagenet has spent most of his time quoting other people or referring to what other people said. That's the Left for you: passing on other people's ideas as if they are gospel. No originality. No personal opinions. Just good little messengers, passing on tripe from the ABC and the gutter press. Second hand dealers.

DIVER DAN asks
"Isn’t that after all, how we in Australia considered our Vietnam war recruits; suckers." _______________________ Don't try and riggle out of this one diver dan. You may think our soldiers in war are "suckers" as you put it. I don't. My Dad served in Vietnam and my Grandfather at Gallipoli. Your comment is a grievous insult to all our soldiers, naval and air personnel. Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 10 September 2020 10:42:39 AM

Foxy wrote: "In order to impress and make me want to actually
read your entire posts..." What on earth makes you think I want to impress you. The only way to do that would be to write blather and falsehoods, and that's not in my nature. Look Foxy, you were wrong on this...demonstrably wrong. You allowed yourself, yet again, to be led down the garden path by your sources. Say whatever you need to in order to salve your hurt and then move on to the next monumental error. ** **Plantaganet wrote: He "allowed Russia to put a bounty on the heads of our brave service men and women". Good to see your continued commitment to getting it wrong. The Russian bounty story has been debunked. It was instead the Iranians who did it and that's why Trump took out Soleimani Posted by mhaze, Thursday, 10 September 2020 11:23:32 AM
