tells us that - "The Westminster furore over former
PM Tony Abbott's putative "new gig as a trade adviser"
to Boris Johnson's government reached fever pitch on
Thursday as opposition leader Keir Starmer and Scottish
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon slammed his appointment".

We're told that PM Johnson seems to be the only senior
Tory not to have joined the fray, with his spokesman
telling the Downing street daily press briefing on
Thursday that - "no decisions" had yet been taken on
who would chair the government's new Board of TRade.

"I know there is a political debate on this today, but I
don't think there is anything I can add to it", the
spokesman said.

He refused to confirm whether Mr Abbott had even been
offered the job.

All very strange indeed.
