All I am advocating is the promotion of greater knowledge
on China. This would help improve understanding of the
issues and put news stories in context.

An understanding of any subject or issue helps in knowing
how to deal with the challenges involved and helps to
eliminate mistakes being made. The less you know, the more
you're disadvantaged.
