Yuyutsu,

'Religious thinking' in the sense of perceiving any opposition to one's beliefs as the work of some sort of devil, by whatever name, 100 % evil, to be extirpated and their proponents to be exterminated if possible.

i.e. a belief, not necessary in some god but in its Satanic Opposite. Yes, implicitly, to totally oppose and expose such evil is to be, in a roundabout way, doing god's work.

'Religious thinking'.

Joe

Dear Joe,

OK, I will just take this as one of the illogical peculiarities of the English language. Like why the same word is used for the skillful production of music out of a musical instrument, for kicking a ball back and forth by a group of hooligans and for toddlers throwing about plastic boxes in a sand-pit.

Yuyutsu, you are right of course.
I find it hard not to respond.
I reason that if I don't respond, it is taken as though I agree with them and their comments.
It's just the way I'm wired.
I must admit though, I have held back in some cases, but mostly because the topic was crap, or the commentor was crap.
But if anyone tells an untruth, I feel compelled to out them and see that the truth is told.
Most of the time these untruths are merely opinions, which is like someone asking to be abused.
I may say some unbelievable things, but the likes of the you know who's say some unbelievably stupid things.
I can't believe that they actually believe what they say.
But there you have it.
I must try to refrain more often, but it would be like trying to stop a cat from chasing a mouse?

I have yet to see any form of credible evidence which debunks the majority view of some of the finest scientific minds on the planet though I am happy to look at anything.

I have some understanding of meteorology having studied it throughout the course of my pilots training.

However, if you are actually capable of reading science then you would have to understand that you are attempting to refute the best that international science has to offer, so you do really need to put your rebuttal into an acceptable format.

The climate systems of the world are complex. And indeed, there is more than one factor that contributes to both cooling and warming ie our position in orbit and our relative distance from the sun.

So, the normal fluctuations still occur however there is now a "Joker" in the mix. So, it is a nonsense to attribute weather conditions only to one factor or another.

Indeed, another ice age will eventually come, CO2 or not, but not at this stage of the game.

And of course, the more the ice melts, the more blasts of cold air we will get, providing relief at least in the short term.

But quite plainly mean global temperatures are going up.

And as said, if you want to see CO2 in action you can do it in your own backyard.

So, the problem is multi-variant but unlike in primordial times, we no longer have sufficient natural means to soak it up.

If you look to my earlier writings, I quite plainly expressed the view that we were going to get scorched well in advance of the fires. Because that is what the science was telling us was the most likely outcome.

So when the politicians are running around expressing shock, surprise and dismay I can tell you for a fact that it is but a charade of crocodile tears on their part because they were ..ing told in no uncertain terms that that is what was most likely to happen.

rEPRUSu, if I were to challenge someone to a fight, I would bring along a FIGHTER, I know nothing about fighting.
If I am being challenged to explain GW so I bring along those who know about GW.
As I said previously, with the amount of push-back about the science and the lies about GW, I have seen no discernible challenges to the deniers submissions challenging their reasoning.
No scientist, or expert has come forth to deny that the globe IS warming, and because of this, the oceans are releasing CO2.
They have gone quiet on the line that humans are the cause of the CO2 and that is the cause of GW.
When the only experts coming out to debunk this fallacy are in fact saying that it's the other way round.
Because the Earth is warming, the oceans are letting off CO2.
They state categorically, that humans have nothing to do with GW.

Just a taste, to give you an idea that what I say is true.

amazing how the religious zealots ignore the myriad of false prophicies dating back about 60 years and more recently BOM fiddling temperatures. Oh well it must fit the narrative.
